Investment Banking Analyst - Financial Advisory Firm

Role Summary: The primary focus of this position is to assist with the execution of corporate finance transactions in the Corporate Finance/Investment Banking Practice. The role is designed to provide the Analyst with a broad based understanding and knowledge of the execution of corporate finance projects, including sell-side and buy-side M&A, debt and equity placements, and other corporate finance assignments.

In addition, the Analyst may be involved in corporate marketing activities including pitch and proposal development, prospect company research and due diligence investigation, relevant financial and economic research, and sales presentations with prospective clients as directed.

This position requires the Analyst to develop a deep understanding of cash flow modeling and corporate finance theory, valuation, and corporate finance processes and methodologies.

Summary of Essential Job Functions:

- Due diligence analysis and financial model data entry

- Sort, review, analyze and develop conclusions from large amounts of economic, market, industry and company-specific information

- Prepare presentations describing relevant client company situation analysis, financial review, valuation analysis and other related complex financial analysis and conclusions to individuals who may be unfamiliar with the concepts and analysis

- Fluency with complex financial modeling and analysis

- Work independently on multiple engagements with multiple team members while prioritizing and managing varied responsibilities

Basic Qualifications:

- 1+ years of investment banking experience

- MBA/CA/CFA qualification

- Knowledge of corporate finance theories, complex financial/cash flow modeling experience, and proven M&A advisory and/or leveraged finance experience

- Proficient verbal and written communication skills

- Advanced experience in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

- Experience with multitasking efficiently and accurately with little oversight

- Acute attention to detail and a dedication to providing high quality work product

- Willingness to work hard with a positive attitude

- Experience in handling sensitive/confidential information

- Self-motivated and ability to problem solve

- Strong project and time management skills

Desired/Preferred Qualifications:

- Prior relevant experience in an investment bank or similar firm providing the analysis described above

- Prior experience in a transaction advisory setting providing quality of earnings and/or other due diligence services is desirable, but not mandatory

- An ability to have fun and create a positive work environment, even under stressful circumstances
