Our client offers the opportunity to work as Investment Banking analysts. As an analyst, you will provide analytical support on mergers and acquisitions, public offerings and other financial advisory services. Our clients middle-market focus and small deal team size give analysts the opportunity to work with senior bankers and key management from client companies on a regular basis.

Separately, analysts may be placed directly into the Financial Sponsors Coverage Team, where they will focus on serving the private equity community or into the Equity Capital Markets Team where they will focus on developing expertise related to corporate financing alternatives in the equity markets. Throughout their tenure, analysts receive support from all levels of the firm. Ongoing training comes from mentors and from senior bankers on deal teams.

Over time, candidates will gain a high level of competence and have the opportunity to play an integral part on their respective deal teams. They will assume a broad range of responsibilities including:

- Developing company valuations and making financial models to value debt and equity for mergers, acquisitions and capital raising transactions

- Developing transaction marketing materials including investment memoranda, roadshow presentations and pitch books

- Conducting industry and company research and analysis

- Acting as a point of contact throughout the transaction process

- Attending client meetings

- Perform due diligence, research, analysis and documentation of live transactions

- Developing varied industry and transaction expertise, and staying current on industry developments

- Developing an understanding of the underlying trends that affect the equity capital markets

- Gaining an understanding of the interests and investment criteria of a number of middle-market private equity firms

Requirements/qualifications:

- MBA/CFA/CA or equivalent education, training and work-related experience.

- Around one year experience in a similar role in an investment bank or private equity firm.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-based environment with minimal supervision.

- Working knowledge of deal structuring and closing principals.

- Strong communication and networking skills.

- Impeccable research, quantitative and analytical skills, especially in explaining market events.

- Proven proficiency in Microsoft Office products, especially Microsoft Excel and VBA.

- Ability to organize and track overlapping tasks and assignments, with frequent priority changes.

- Strong financial modeling skills.

- Affinity for current events, critical issues and relevant news.
