Venture Capital Firm (Mumbai)

We are seeking an associate to serve as a key member of the investment team. This person will help source, diligence, invest and assist the next cohort of world-changing technology companies as a part of multiple funds. Associate would report to multiple partners and would be involved in all aspects of the business.

Responsibilities

- Identify, source, and evaluate new investment opportunities

- Conduct detailed due diligence

- Support investment team in negotiation and investment execution

- Execute various projects as needed, including developing and researching investment theses

- Establish and maintain strong professional networks inside and outside the network

- Assist individual portfolio companies in support of board members

- Coordinate investor reporting and fundraising support

- Extend fund's institutional infrastructure

- The role is to become a member of the investment and Fundraising teams. On the investment front. sourcing companies for investment, diligencing them, negotiating terms with them if we decide to invest, then assisting managing the investment and finally helping generate an exit.

- On the fundraising front, assisting Managing Partners with outreach to investors and assisting with fundraising material and things like quarterly reports.

- The candidate should have the vision of being part of us for a stint of at least 10 years, as compensation is rear-loaded via carry.

- Further, managing companies and generating an exit on them is a 7 to 9 year activity and it is in the interest of the company and us the fund that the same team continues throughout.

Qualifications:

- The candidate should have at least 3 years of work experience and education from a leading institution like the IITs or IIMs. Typically the candidate would have worked in consulting or in a startup. The candidate must have an excellent command of spoken English.

- The candidate should have the vision of being part of us for a stint of atleast 10 years, as compensation is rear-loaded via carry. Further, managing companies and generating an exit on them is a 7 to 9 year activity and it is in the interest of the company and us the fund that the same team continues throughout.
