Investment Associate - Private Investment Firm

Investment Associate (2-3 years) based in Mumbai

This is an established private investment firm with offices in Mumbai and New Delhi. We are focused on promoting and investing in innovative companies, typically investing US $5 -$25 million of equity in transactions. The Client has an interest in a wide variety of new age sectors including Education, Retail, Media, Sports, Technology, Financial Services, Hospitality and Urban Real Estate.

Job Description

To assist the Investment team in due diligence of investment opportunities and management of portfolio companies.

Associates will work with other specialists within the team to leverage and gain from their experience to drive company's growth.

Associates will work closely with the senior management of portfolio companies and play an active role in streamlining operations and driving growth

The associates will participate in all aspects of the investment and business development process including:

- Analysis and assessment of markets and competitive landscapes

- Analysis and interpretation of financial statements

- Validation of business models

- Draft investment memoranda and other deal documents

- Work closely with the senior management of companies on planning, strategy, MIS, documentation, legal / secretarial compliances, fund raising etc

Desired Qualifications and Experience

- Strong academic credentials from top tier institutions - St. Stephens, SRCC, IIT's, IIM- s, ISB and premier global universities

- 2-3 years of prior work experience with leading strategy consulting firms such as McKinsey, Bain & Company, BCG, KPMG, Accenture or with leading real estate consultancy firms like JLL, CBRE, etc.

- Relevant experience across real estate, hospitality and retail and technology sectors is highly preferred

- Ambitious individual with a desire to work in an entrepreneurial environment and comfortable of handling multiple assignments efficiently

- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling and advanced MS Excel

- Effective interpersonal and oral / written communications skills
