Our client is a private equity company based in Hyderabad that invests into the broad sectors of Agriculture, Food & Logistics. Our investment team composition and strengths supports our focus areas. The target companies will be startup companies in early revenue stage backed by excellent management pedigree and product/service differentiation. The firm's atmosphere is ambitious and energetic.

We are looking to add an Analyst to help augment their growing team. The role will engage across all functions of the firm and will have exposure to the entire deal process from origination and due-diligence through deal structuring and post-investment portfolio management. We hire Analysts both right out of school and with up to 1 year of work experience. This role is a balance between financial analysis, business strategy, and sharp execution. The ideal candidate is interested in growing businesses, has superior analytical skills, is extremely organized and is a prolific writer who prides themselves on thoughtful and eloquent communication. Candidates who take initiative, have a tremendous work ethic and a high level of maturity are considered ideal.

Job Description

Responsibilities :

- Strengthening of deal pipeline for investment opportunities

- Interacting with promoters of potential investee companies to understand the business

- Provide financial evaluation of potential investment opportunities

- Extensive financial modeling including sensitivity analysis to support potential investment opportunities alongwith valuation discovery

- Participate in structuring and negotiation of proposed investment

- Preparing Term Sheet indicating valuation, key terms of investment related to rights & obligations

- Preparation of IM and handling of IC meetings

- Establish good MIS practices in portfolio companies and other governance hygiene aspects in relation to monitoring

- Prepare periodical MRBs and NAV reports

- Establish and maintain relationship with industry, trade and professional organizations to enhance visibility of the firm and its portfolio companies in the market place

- Travel is required in this role

Qualifications :

- Strong academic credentials - MBA from a top b-school is a must

- Looking for mature, responsible, intelligent analyst to complement existing private equity team - Highly analytical

- Knowledge of business growth strategy and the risk/return characteristics of private equity investment opportunities

- Extensive financial modeling skills and experience in Excel

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills

- Clear, concise writing & documentation skills

- Previous private equity, investment banking, accounting, or consulting experience preferred - Previous work experience of between 0 and 1 year
