Investment Analyst - PE Firm

We are looking to identify an Investment Analyst for one of our clients which is a leading PE firm with offices in Mumbai and Delhi.

The fund is focused on the India consumption opportunity through investments in emerging SME leaders. They look to invest in sectors that will be major beneficiaries of strong underlying demographic changes, income growth and increasing discretionary spend, all drivers that underpin the growth in consumption demand. Focus sectors include consumer products, consumer services, consumer finance, healthcare, managed services & skills, and logistics.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Key Responsibilities

- Be an integral part of a deal team and involved in analyzing sectors, researching industries and companies, meeting with management teams, conducting due diligence, performing analyses, building financial models and writing investment reports.

- Support the key stages of the investment process primarily focusing on analysis, valuation models, and working with portfolio companies.

- Provide financial/cost analysis support required for decision making and controls in portfolio companies.

- Assist the team in its sourcing initiatives and maintain and contribute to the firm's proprietary database on direct secondary PE opportunities across Asia.

- Other tasks or projects as the firm may require.

Key Attributes

- An ideal candidate should be a Undergraduate or qualified Chartered Accountant from a Premier Indian / Foreign Institute with 1 to 2 years experience in investment banking/private equity /corporate finance roles.

- A strong and clear communicator. Candidate should be able convert his thoughts into words and interface effectively with other colleagues.

- Enterprising and able to work in a small and high powered team.

- An outperformer academically, professionally and/or in extracurricular activities.

- A self starter with a proven record of taking the initiative to create opportunities.
