Client : A UK based fund manager, focused on secure income strategies. Position : Investment Analyst Experience : 2yr+ Location : Bangalore Joining: Immediate to 60 days Job Description : Seeking an Investment Analyst to work on the various activities within the fund's business with a focus on the group's long income activities. The role reports to the Head of Investment Risk. The long income real estate team currently has 17 full-time members, across origination, strategy, portfolio management and analysts and is supported by their wider team in relation to capital raising, asset management, fund administration and accounting. It is expected that the team will continue to grow to support the growth in committed capital and new investment strategies. Responsibilities : a) Credit analysis of new transactions and existing exposures including attending tenant and / or borrower meetings b) Provide significant input into the development of effective funding strategies for transactions and businesses and undertake financial analysis to appraise the relative merits of each c) Research into and production of sector analysis for a range of industries with operational real estate d) Use financial models to support the development of financial structures, fund models, valuations, sensitivity and scenario analysis e) Supporting the origination team in the pricing of new transactions and preparing Investment Committee papers f) Assist in the development of new business, preparation of client presentations and support in marketing of new products g) Liaising with clients to support live transactions h) Investment reporting - produce factsheets and draft responses to ad hoc investor requests i) Liaise with and coordinate relevant advice from the fund's specialist legal, regulatory and financial advisers j) Supporting on internal corporate finance opportunities in relation to investments being considered by the fund or funds managed by them k) Other ad hoc tasks and projects Requirements : a) Educated to at least degree level, preferably with a professional qualification (e.g. accountancy, actuarial, investment management / financial analysis) b) Highly numerate, with financial modelling skills together with high technical proficiency with Microsoft Excel c) Knowledge of real estate or the DB pensions industry would be beneficial but is not essential d) Energetic, lateral thinker with an enquiring mind and a commercial approach e) High degree of personal drive and motivation to succeed f) Good communicator and highly articulate (written and oral), with high quality report writing and presentation skills g) Ability to learn quickly and keep abreast of developments; h) Self-starter Remuneration : They offer their employees a competitive total remuneration package. Salaries are reviewed annually in February of each year with any pay rise becoming effective in April of that year. In addition, the role would be eligible for a substantial discretionary performance related bonus. The bonus is discretionary and awarded in February of each year, payable in two equal installments in March and September.
