About the Department :

- Invest India is the National Investment Promotion and Facilitation Agency under the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. It hosts teams working with various government initiatives such as Make in India, Startup India, AGNii, and PMG.

- Under the sectorial team of Pharmaceuticals & Biotechnology - Invest India, we are looking to hire an assistant manager/manager/senior manager.

Key Responsibilities :

- You will be responsible for driving the team to execute the strategy for promoting investments in Pharmaceuticals, Biotechnology and allied areas.

- S/he will be closely working with stakeholders in the Department of Pharmaceuticals (DoP), Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilisers, Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Ministry of Science and Technology, relevant Central/State government departments, industry associations, private companies etc. for promotion and facilitation of investments into these sectors, policy advocacy etc.

- The team member will report into the AVP of the Pharmaceuticals and Biotechnology sector.

The roles and responsibilities of the team member would be to :

- Be a strong team member and support the team under the leadership of AVP to engage with multiple stakeholders including Ministries/Departments, State Governments, Quasi-Government Agencies, Industry Associations, PSUs, Investors, and Private Promoters/Investors.

- Support policy development for objectives highlighted above by examining issues pertaining to the sector and deliberating with government stakeholders and industry associations

- Lead the team to coordinate with stakeholders for organizing discussions, workshops, roadshows & events

- Spearhead the designing and collation of high impact presentation for new and existing programs

- Liaison with international standards bodies/think tanks, hospitals & diagnostic chains, and sovereign wealth funds to deliberate on best practices

- Preparation and presentation of high-quality research, reports, DPR's and briefing notes required for specific projects

- Lead exercise related to the quarterly/monthly deliverables of PDCs and PMU to the Ministry

Qualifications :

- Post-graduate or graduate degree in healthcare and related streams from a university in India/abroad

- 2+ years of work experience in a front-end role at a consulting firm / developmental agency/ investment bank/investment promotion agency / global corporate working in healthcare and allied sectors

- Experience in preparing DPR's, policy briefs, policy analysis, research reports

- Ability to work in teams and take ownership of the task at hand

- Strong commitment to accuracy and professionalism

- Excellent communication, people and analytical skills

- Ability to work amid strict deadlines and on multiple projects
