About the Department :

Invest India, the national Investment Promotion & Facilitation Agency of the Government of India, works closely with State and UT Governments across India, on different fronts such as investment promotion, targeting and facilitation, capacity building of state investment teams, policy advocacy, strategic advisory on structuring/restructuring state investment promotion agencies etc.

Invest India, is setting up a desk for Goa Industrial Development Corporation (Goa-IDC), and will work towards providing support in multiple activities including industrial promotion, legal and procurement support, digitization of state-level procedures and approvals, and project monitoring. The Desk will operate from the office of Goa-IDC.

The Desk would extend both technical and management support to Goa-IDC, in effectively implementing the short-term and long-term strategy formulated by Invest India and Goa-IDC.

Key Responsibilities :

The candidate hired shall be based in Goa at the office of Goa-IDC, and in general, be responsible for the following activities :

- Network and build working relationships with key stakeholders such as Central & State Government officials, and project proponents

- Support planning and execution of various engagements, internal and external review meetings

- Undertake research to determine the industry competitiveness of the State and propose strategies to enhance the State's ease of doing business

- Provide project updates (implementation status, progress, issues, etc.) on a consistent basis to various stakeholders (including Goa-IDC, Invest India, DPIIT)

- Assist in the development of effective and efficient project monitoring plans

- Lead preparation of high-quality research, reports, and briefing notes, as required for the projects related to state.

- Regularly track and follow up on deliverables

Qualifications :

- Law, Public Policy/ Administration/ Professional degree (from a premier institute is preferable)

- Minimum 2-4 years of full-time work experience

- Strong business communication & etiquette, networking skills, and stakeholder management

- Prior understanding of the administrative set-up of the Government ecosystem would be preferable

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver on tight timelines

- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
