The company seeks an associate consultant who will be a key part of its advisory team and will be involved across the engagement cycle with the client across the following broad are as listed below Responsibilities: Pre - Engagement: - Evaluation of Information Memoranda & proposals for inclusion in the company's portfolio, including an evaluation of the business, industry, current operations, ownership structure, analysis of recent financial statements, regulatory environment, SWOT Analysis and other parameters necessary for evaluating prospects - Preparation of pitch books and proposals that the company may be required to make to prospective clients as part of its ongoing business development initiatives - Support in any due diligence that may be necessary - Preparation and maintenance of operating, financial and valuation-based comps tables for various target industries - Keeping track of ongoing developments in the turnaround/stressed asset space and assist in building and maintaining a prospect pipeline for the company Ongoing Responsibilities Post Engagement: - Assist in evaluation and preparation of clients- Annual Operating Plans, as well as other strategic and long term business plans on an ongoing basis - Analytical evaluation of the impact of strategic initiatives, suggested by the company to its clients, on their operational and financial performance - Evaluation of clients- Capital Budgeting decisions - Ongoing analysis and review of key operational and financial metrics of the company relevant to the scope of engagement - Determining that nature, frequency and format of the MIS required from the client. Co-ordinating with the client's team for timely generation and receipt of the same - Analysing the MIS generated by the company and highlighting key points of consideration on a regular basis - Preparation of dashboards from the point of view of periodically appraising the company of clients- performance on the basis of MIS analysis as well as real time developments. Highlighting red flags and areas of concern on a timely basis - Preparing financial models/projections, including valuation models and scenario analysis - Keeping track of regulatory and other developments, evaluating their impact on the client and regularly appraising management of the same - Assist in the preparation of Information Memoranda and other marketing documents vis- vis short and long term financing opportunities that the company may pursue on behalf of its clients - Assist in the due diligence process in situations where the client pursues any M&A or fund raising activity, even when the task has primarily been outsourced - Preparation of KPI dashboards which will be used by the company in appraising its clients on its pre-agreed milestones - Effectively liaise with the relevant internal and external stakeholders in ensuring fulfilment of each of the above Skills Required: - CA / M.B.A. / Masters in Economics/Finance or equivalent. CFA Charterholder / Level II or III Candidature a Plus. Outstanding Academic Record. - 1 - 3 years of relevant work experience. - Strong Analytical and Problem Solving Skills with the ability to multitask and work in a fast paced environment - Strong researching abilities - both primary and secondary - Fundamentally sound understanding of accounting and financial statement analysis, including ratio analysis and the ability to adjust proforma financial statements to determine normalised earnings - Familiarity with valuation techniques, including comparable company analysis and DCF - Familiarity with statistical techniques a plus - Prior Experience in M&A/PE/Corporate Finance. Prior work experience / internships in the Big 4 or Bulge Bracket Investment Banks a strong plus - Prior experience in working in the stressed assets / IBC space a strong plus - Strong Communication Skills, both written and verbal - Strong MS Office Skills, including a proven ability to prepare complex excel models and Powerpoint Presentations - The candidate have to work out of the company's premises i.e. Jasola, New Delhi
