Team Manager - Financial Accounting Manager (US Accounts)

Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Accounting Manager to oversee our team handling US accounts. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in financial management, a deep understanding of US GAAP, and strong leadership abilities to manage and mentor the accounting team.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management: Oversee the financial accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.

Compliance: Ensure compliance with US GAAP and other regulatory requirements.

Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Month-End Close: Manage the month-end close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

Audit: Coordinate and manage internal and external audits, ensuring timely and accurate completion.

Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.

Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.

Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.

Stakeholder Communication: Communicate financial results and insights to senior management and

other stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or equivalent certification preferred

Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in financial accounting, with at least 3 years in a managerial role handling US accounts

Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills

Knowledge: Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting standards

Leadership: Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a team

Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced Degree: MBA or Master's in Accounting or Finance

Certifications: Additional certifications such as CMA, CFA, or ACCA

Industry Experience: Experience in a similar industry or with multinational companies
