We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Debt Syndication Manager to join our team in Gurugram, India. This role will be crucial in expanding our debt syndication services and building strong relationships with corporate clients and financial institutions.

Job Summary:

The Debt Syndication Manager will be responsible for originating, structuring, and executing debt syndication mandates for corporate clients. This role requires a strong understanding of debt capital markets, financial modeling, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in debt syndication and a deep understanding of the corporate finance landscape.

Responsibilities:

- Syndicate debt for both new and expansion projects, including long-term and short-term debt.

- Design, structure, and implement innovative financing solutions for corporate clients.

- Identify and pursue new debt syndication opportunities.

- Independently close debt syndication mandates.

- Meet with top management of mid-sized and large corporations to understand their funding requirements and propose optimal debt structures.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients.

- Maintain relationships with existing clients.

- Prepare comprehensive Information Memorandums, teasers, financial models, CMA reports, and other necessary documentation for lenders.

- Review deal documentation, feasibility valuations, title reports, and other technical reports.

- Conduct thorough financial analysis to assess the creditworthiness of clients.

- Meet and liaise with banks and financial institutions to ensure timely processing of proposals.

- Work closely with various departments within banks to facilitate deal closure.

- Manage the end-to-end debt syndication process, from origination to disbursement.

- Liaise with market participants, including lawyers, valuers, engineers, chartered accountants, and company secretaries, to ensure smooth deal execution.

- Stay abreast of market trends and regulatory changes in the debt capital markets.

- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and internal policies.

- Maintaining and enhancing business quality and relationship with Corporate banks and Financial Institutions.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

Experience:

- 5+ years of relevant experience in corporate banking or debt syndication.

- Proven track record of successfully closing debt syndication mandates.

Knowledge & Skills:

- Strong understanding of syndicated loans and debt capital market products.

- Proficiency in financial modeling, preferably with training from investment banks or private equity firms.

- Excellent financial analysis and valuation skills.

- Strong understanding of CMA reports.

- Ability to close mandates independently.

- Strong ability to develop and maintain relationships.

Communication & Interpersonal Skills:

- Excellent communication and presentation skills.

- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.

- Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Education:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
