International Sales Role - Professional Services - IIM/MDI/ISB/FMS (4-6 yrs)

Part of a team which is responsible for:
- Leading significant strategic change projects across the Firm
- Driving business development efforts for the wider Firm
- Being repository of relevant market intelligence
- Enhancing Firm's branding and profile with efficient internal and external communication
Key Responsibility Areas:
The incumbent will primarily be in charge of leading and supporting international BD initiatives, especially towards the US market. As such, he / she will be expected to:
Support all international client development activity across practices including:
- Identifying business opportunities and help prioritize on allocation of firm's resources
- Share market intelligence by researching industry and business trends
- Strategise and help deliver client pitches
- Follow up with relationship teams on meeting/telecon minutes and takeaways
- Tracking engagement with select clients to monitor performance
- Manage internal activities to efficiently deliver on all above
Support international trips:
- Preparing for meetings, researching prior engagements of clients
- Following up with relationship teams on meeting/telecon minutes and takeaways
- Tracking engagement with select clients to monitor performance
- Coordinating of internal activities to efficiently deliver on all above
Closely engage with trade bodies, industry associations, high commissions, multiplier agencies and intermediaries:
- Maintain list of top agencies that would be relevant for our promotion as a professional services firm
- Keep a close tab on events, conferences, webinars proposed
- Ensure good representation on prime committees and delegations
- Make recommendations on participation and sponsorship proposals
- Actively develop and maintain a deep understanding of the market and the competitive position of the firm through extensive internal and external research.
- Curate strategy to optimise our presence at events with prime speaker and branding
Competencies:
- Commercial bent to convert leads into actionable sale of professional services
- Proactive ability to develop leads and opportunities to meet and connect with clients
- Ability to interact, challenge and influence credibly at senior levels
- Autonomy and ability to run and effectively manage multiple projects at the same time
- Ability to create and maintain efficient tracking tools to pursue business leads
Education and prior experience:
- (M.B.A), preferably in business or project management from a tier I college.
- Prior BD experience in a professional services firm would be a plus
- International experience would be a plus, especially with the North American market.
