International Financial Controller - Global NBFC

Our client is one of the global fast-growing Fintech NBFCs, looking out for an International Financial Controller who can manage accounting teams spread across different countries

Job Description :

- Lead, collaborate and execute the financial reporting and monthly accounting closure of subsidiary locations, covering the following areas: G/L accounting, payroll and expense reporting ; Loan portfolio cash reconciliations and balance sheet accounts reconciliation ; Accurate recording of accruals, prepaid and fixed assets under multi-books ; Inter-company transactions and eliminations ; Monthly tax filings in accordance with statutory requirements for India & OTHER COUNTRIES

- Coordinate with CFO to implement technical and operational accounting guidance over topics of revenue recognition, loan loss reserves, consolidations, fx, debt financing transactions, transfer pricing, and others as needed

- Ownership of process improvement and automation on daily operational accounting to support the shorter month-end close

- Implement and document effective internal controls and processes to ensure the accuracy of financial reporting

- Help build a world-class accounting team in India

- Manage and mentor a team of 10 plus accountants in all subsidiary locations

The Ideal Candidate should have:

- At Least 8 plus years of PQE in an Accounting Management role with exposure on consolidations, FX and multinational operations with financial reporting on full P&L and balance sheet

- Background in financial institutions, fintech or marketplaces with high velocity transactions and high volume of cash settlements preferred

- Solid understanding of US GAAP, India GAAP, and IFRS
