Internal Auditor - CA

The incumbent is responsible for planning, executing and reporting on operational, financial, regulatory and compliance related audits/reviews. This role would involve examining and evaluating the adequacy, effectiveness and efficiency of the organization's internal control systems and procedures and recommend corrective actions to improve operations, enhance internal controls and reduce costs where possible.

Essential Functions/ Job Responsibilities:

- Contribute to the audit assignment planning

- Deliver (and in some cases lead) finance and operational audits within MENAP and the Indian sub-continent

- Test the design and operating effectiveness of core controls, in line with standards set out by management

- Use data analytics to review large populations of data

- Use findings to support conclusions, recommendations and a grading which is appropriate for the business, and in the context of the overall group

- Prepare and issue reports to management that influence change

- Make value added, practical recommendations that recognize commercial priorities

- Carry out follow up work where required

- Conduct special projects and assignments

- Contribute to the development of a world class audit function

Experience and Requirements:

- Certified Chartered Accountant

- Experience in Internal Audit in an international business

- Strong verbal and written communication skills

- Must possess business intelligence and strong analytical skills

- Related industry experience is an advantage but not essential

- Previous exposure to both the financial and operational parts of a business

- Ability to travel 50% of the time internationally

- Share results with the audited location or function and get buy-in to remedial management action

- Builds and fosters relationships throughout the audit process demonstrating a high degree of credibility
