Interim Head - Information Technology - SAP Implementation (15-20 yrs)

Interim Head IT (SAP Implementation) {1500 Cr Building Product Industry}

Strategy & Planning :

- Provide inputs to Technology head in defining overall function objectives for the year.

- Formulate goal plans for application support domain in line with functional objectives

- Contribute to Business Technology strategic projects from an application support perspective.

- Set process metrics and draft process guidelines for customization/bug-fixing/service requests in line with overall function objectives.

- Collaborate with Project teams to ensure adherence to defined process metrics and SLAs in line with ITIL framework.

Application Support Management:

- Partner with Project teams to review incident trends & reports on periodic basis; Identify scope of improvements & drive implementation of projects on improvement in order to enhance service levels.

- Intervene and facilitate effective resolution of escalated issues; Conduct diagnostics on repeat issues and work with support specialists to bridge the gaps.

- Ensure appropriate team staffing to provide seamless support to the business.

Operations Management:

- Work with the user team to manage overall day-to-day IT operations to moderate infrastructure cost, and improve performance and end-user satisfaction.

- Monitor the performance of infrastructure equipment coordinate equipment installation and delivery schedules.

- Troubleshoot server and storage hardware as well as software problems.

- Escalate effectively and efficiently all necessary issues to the appropriate resource for resolution and follow-up.

Information Security:

- Preserve assets, information security and control structures.

- Maintain sensitivity to security best practices as related to infrastructure and application architectures.

- Ensure compliance on software licenses and all security patches on all IT assets.

- Carry out security reviews and provide approvals for any server/network changes in data center and offices.

IT Infrastructure:

Architect, design and setup scalable IT infrastructure for new co-working spaces and maintenance of IT infrastructure for existing locations.

Strategic planning of LAN/WAN setup

Procure, set up and maintain

- IoT devices

- Access control devices

- Surveillance units

- ISPs

- Fire alarm units

Budgeting and Planning:

- Identify requirements for infrastructure and operation expansion based on current and projected activity.

- IT strategy planning activities, bringing current knowledge and future vision of infrastructure technology and systems and best practices as related to the needs of the business.

- Plan to ensure that standardized methods and procedures are used for efficient and prompt handling of all changes to control IT infrastructure in order to minimize the number and impact of any related incidents on service.

Build Solutions:

- Get to the root cause of operational issues, diagnose problem areas, design and build solutions accordingly.

- Convert business requirements to application specific functional design and define clear test plans. Coordinate with blueprint team to realize functional designs.

- Identify new improvement opportunities in collaboration with business and initiate projects.Develop project charter, detailed scope and goals.

- Perform functional and integration tests to confirm solution design before deployment to production environment.

- Ensure documentation of highest quality for solutions.

- Ensure appropriate use of SWTS project management tools, governance, processes, policies and methodologies.

- Manage project teams, scope and overall project resource plan.

Go-Live Support:

- Support implementation of the new Business Technology projects, and set up a dedicated team to extend go - live support to Project teams.

- Partner with Business Heads to understand and review quality of existing applications and identify scope of improvement.

- Collaborate with Project teams in the execution of learning & development plans for new applications.

- Lead project issue and risk management process, and escalate issues and risks.

- Manage internal project financials.

- Engages key stakeholders in the project and foster communication.

Customer Focus:

- Create processes with customer's perspective and impact in mind, leveraging standard blueprint.

- Proactively communicate with customers about status of service requests, incidents and problems.

- Communicate complex information efficiently based on customer needs.

- Systematically measure the voice of customer and address gaps.

Capability Building:

- Present IT Automation initiatives of the company in Corporate forums and events. Present case papers with external media and in competitions.

- Participate in external forums, seminars and learning opportunities.

- Continuously look for skill upgradation and be an early adopter of new technologies.

- Education : MBA/PGDM/MCA/BTech in Computers from an accredited college or university.

- Industry Experience : Manufacturing industry experience, preferably in a corporate set-up as a SAP Support Manage, and must have provided application support as an expert consultant for all internal stakeholders.

- Technological Skills : Highly competent in the use of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and digital communication. Techno-commercial acumen. Budget and report writing skills. Strong problem solving ability. Good people skills is a must.

- Language Skills : Stronghold of English language and a good knowledge of local languages.

- Communication : Skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- This is a 6 months assignment
