Job Description: Position Summary Associate/Senior Associate, Sankalp is an individual contributor role. In this role, the individual has to support Sankalp Head and Sales Managers/Lead in the sales pursuits and achievement of sales target for India through effective pre-sales support, lead generation and proposal development. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (include the following, but are not limited to) 1. Help Support sales & BD team by developing Sales proposals, Client pitch documents and presentation, which has to be developed basis research on the client needs, industry insights, etc 2. Drive organic lead generation program through low-cost/zero cost initiatives to develop a robust sales pipeline 3. Work in conjunctions with the sales and marketing team to Bring in sponsors/ though online marketing and social media promotions 4. Ensure online event listing websites are regularly updated and managed including photos, descriptions, and promotions. 5. Track and maintain Sales leads, client conversations, proposals submissions and follow-up actions; Ensure all pre-sales, lead-generation and proposal related activities are documented accurately and presented to Sankalp leadership on a weekly basis as part of sales and pipeline tracking 6. Maintain and update sales repository of presentations, pitches, proposals 7. Maintain good knowledge of the development eco-system and stay abreast with issues, trends, policies, and current thinking. 8. Assist in the preparation and monitoring of sales, department and budgetary reports as and when required. 9. Other duties and tasks assigned by the management within the job scope Experience, Competencies & Education 1. Minimum 2-8 years of pre-sales management, proposal development and lead generation experience in related field, preferably in similar roles for convention/conference services and/or fund-raising roles for development organisations, multi-laterals and/or media houses 2. Experience and exposure to enterprise level pre-sales with focus on government agencies, multi-laterals, development finance institutions, corporates and foundation 3. Bachelor's Degree (B.S./B.A.) from recognised university in management, sales, marketing or related field 4. Ability to read, analyse, articulate and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals and technical procedures 5. The ability to build good working relationships with all kinds of people 6. The ability to work under pressure and meet tight timelines on proposal development & submission 7. Strong commercial acumen, proposal making and documentation skills 8. Working knowledge of sales, marketing, account management and pricing strategies 9. The ability to work as part of a team and also on own initiative 10. Technical proficiency with Microsoft Office especially Word and power-point skills. Excellent written communication & power-point presentation development skills 11. Attention to detail 12. Good working knowledge of and enthusiasm and interest for the social development sector, Impact Investment Sector and entrepreneurship
