Senior Financial Analyst - CPA


Job Overview :


- Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will serve as a partner to all business leaders. The Senior Financial Analyst is essential to Insticator's strategic planning, budgeting, business analytics, and reporting outcomes processes. This role requires hyper-intellectual curiosity, expertise with reporting tools, knowledge of business planning and processes, familiarity with financial statements and metrics measurement, effective presentation skills and the ability to work with a high degree of uncertainty.

Challenges and Opportunities for the position :

- Senior Financial Analyst faces challenges in utilizing both quantitative and qualitative analysis of all operational aspects of a company in order to evaluate the company's progress toward achieving its goals and to map out future goals and plans.


- The analyst shall consider economic and business trends, review past company performance, and attempt to anticipate obstacles and potential problems, all with an eye toward forecasting a company's future financial results. In addition to the technical challenges involved in aggregating and interpreting this complex data, one of the other challenges they face is the fast pace of the industry.

Responsibilities and Duties :

1. Evaluating whether the company's assets and investments are the best use of the company's excess working capital, by looking at return on investment (ROI) and comparisons with other ways, the company might utilize its cash flow.

2. Understanding and knowledge of US GAAP - Accounting and preparation of financial statements under US GAAP.

3. Good Knowledge of accounting principles and conventions in accounting day to day transactions following US GAAP.

4. Experience with monthly closure of books of accounts and reviewing of financial statements ate each month and quarter close.

5. Performing deep dive variance analysis of Profit & Loss and Balance sheet and reporting the reasons for variance to management and head of finance.

6. Preparing budgeting and forecasting for each upcoming year and comparison of budgets to actuals to identify forecasts used for budgeting are similar/close to actuals.

7. Considering opportunities for the company to expand or grow. Mapping growth plans, including capital expenditures and investments. Generating three- to five-year financial forecasts.

8. Hands-on experience on quick books for day to accounting.

Professional Competencies :

1. CPA with 4-5 years of experience in accounting/auditing books of account under US GAAP.

2. Knowledge and experience of preparation of financial statements under US GAAP along with disclosure requirements.

3. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint. Spreadsheet skill set to include advanced functions such as graphics/charts and pivot tables.

4. Experience of accounting in Ad tech industry/advertising concepts preferred.

5. Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized.

6. Excellent communication skills to articulate and discuss with stakeholders/Management

7. Working knowledge of accounting transactions in quick books.

8. Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations.
