The company has created a payments platform that helps in doing this. This platform has a unique ability to add intelligence to traditional payment channels helping businesses reduce cost and enhance sales. Four kinds of businesses get attracted to use these channels.

a) Merchants who want insights into customer payments for better control and reduced payment back-office operations.

b) Brands who want to drive preference for their products through lower cost and better controlled promotions at these merchants.

c) Financial service providers such as payment entities, wallets, employee benefit cards, who want to drive preference for their payment instrument.

d) Banks and lenders who want to get access to customers at these merchants to offer them loans at a lower risk and cost than other channels.

Innoviti is addressing these customers through two key propositions -


a) uniPAY Next - a set of consumer payment and lending services and


b) smelending.com - a set of short-term working capital services for small businesses.

Over the past two years the company has invested heavily in building up the platform. It is now ready to disrupt the business by changing the way payments platforms add value and attract and onboard customers. It would do this by:

a) Making the platform open to onboard customers easily,

b) Changing distribution models to reach 100X customers, and

c) Allowing more intelligence to the channels.

To drive this roadmap the company is looking for talent who are ready to do what no payments platform has done before and what every payment platform will do thereafter.

Job Description:

Designation: Category Manager - eCommerce - Electronics

Location: Bangalore

Reporting to: Chief Business Officer

Role:

The Ecommerce Category Manager will manage and drive the day-to-day sales performance of Innoviti's payment solution meant for stand-alone retailers distributed through e-commerce marketplaces. They will be the business unit leader responsible for defining and driving programs that improve the customer experience that support delivery and over-attainment of performance goals.

Responsibilities:

This individual will be the advocate for the end-to-end sales experience, from traffic flow down through purchase and into post sales fulfillment. He/She will be responsible for making decisions on maintaining and improving the overall customer experience, which will lead to increased conversion, orders, revenue, and customer satisfaction.

This position will partner with and work through internal product management, supply chain, finance, production line and customer support to ensure a high quality customer experience that will drive incremental sales in the Custom Print channel.

Duties:

1. Deliver sales and profitability targets from online sales of Innoviti products for stand-alone retailers.

2. Execute business objectives and identify category insights, which will drive sales

3. Build customer relationships across multiple areas of the organization, inclusive of, but not limited to Product Management, Production Line, Supply Chain, Service, Marketing and Technology.

4. Support the digital forecasting process by assessing and making recommendations based on sale rate.

5. Execute consumer and shopper driven strategies for their customers in the digital channel

6. Use data, information systems, and metrics around financial, brand, and shopper trends to maximize market share, sales, and profits

7. Provide analytical and presentation support to various internal teams on insights gathered from the sales.

8. Create a business plan in consultation with product, marketing and technology teams. Get plan reviewed and approved by leadership team based on feedback.

9. Build a high performance lean team that can deliver to the business plan.

10. Put in place processes and metrics for tracking progress to the plan and setup review mechanisms with all stakeholders.

11. Put in place governance measures to ensure required controls on the channel and positive build of Innoviti brand.

12. Setup review mechanisms with product, marketing, technology and finance to constantly refine strategy.

Skills and Qualifications :

- Bachelors / Master's from a tier 1 college.

- 3+ years of direct and hands-on experience in sales and/or trade in the Ecommerce Channel

- Selling experience within consumer products, preferably across multiple brands

- Experience with a minimum $5M book of business

- Willingness to travel 10% (alter by role)

- Ability to operate independently given direction, and bring ideas and solutions to issues raised

- Ability to analyze and assess organizational needs and provide solutions accordingly

- Interpersonal savvy; an ability to effectively work with and connect with all levels of employees across multiple functions and geographies.

- Ability to motivate teams to produce desired tangible outcomes within tight timeframes.

- Atleast 10 years of experience in a business development and/or business operations leadership role.

- Demonstrated experience in navigating go-to-market strategies.

- Demonstrated experience in managing governance with channels.

- Excellent analytical skills.

- Experience in managing senior level stakeholders.

- The ideal person for this role would be someone who understands markets and has a strong grip on revenue and cost aspects in a business. 


- Person should have a zeal to learn constantly from every experience every day to refine the strategy. 


- Should be a great listener with ability to navigate tough situations. Needless to mention the person should be self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook and impeccable integrity. 


- Person would have a track record of delivering results consistently in uncertain environments. 


- Should have excellent communication skills with an ability to manage crucial conversations with senior people at customer organizations.
