Ingram Micro - Manager - Operations/Supply Chain

- This Position is for Operations In-charge of a Large Warehouse or Distribution Center and has a direct oversight of the Operations of a large Warehouse. this position has to manage the all sections with in the Warehouse on a day to day basis and meet the business requirements in terms of effective handling of the receipt / storage / billing & delivery of goods to the customer.

- Position has to keep a check on the customer Service levels and also ensure that the Costs are kept under limits, Quality and Productivity metrics are met. Has ownership for the stocks carried at the Warehouse and expenses incurred for various services and products required at the WH, ensure high level of integrity and commitment.

- Review the daily activities of the different sections with Sections Leads like Receiving / Shipping / WH Management/ Administration for outstanding items, compliance to process and results, SLA. Put in place actions to ensure priority issues are taken care off, proper resource deployment and allocation to ensure customer requirements are met and resources too are properly utilized.

- Proper utilization of the Delivery vehicles to optimize the freight cost. Review Temp Staff & Security Staff utilization and actions initiated to have the optimum numbers and control over time. Control all other major expense like Utility, WH Supplies, and Staff Welfare to be within limits.

- Look out for better sources for procurement and better ways of doing things / eliminate waste to control costs. Compliance to the Non Trade Purchase Policy is a must and Customer SLA to be kept intact. Review same with Sections Leads

- Participate in inter departmental and functional review and work on improvement plans and actions that would lead to better the Customer satisfaction, Productivity, Cost Control, improve profitability etc. Daily, weekly & monthly MIS, audit reports and feedbacks from our customers.

- Engineering Graduate/MBA(SCM/Operations) in any stream with 10+ years of experience in relevant field.

- Experience in the area of Logistics, Warehouse Management, Customer support, fulfillment center should have managed a small team in a supervisory role

- Strong planning, organizing and time management skills. Should be able to take initiative and drive solutions to problems. Ability to work independently and should be a strong team player.

- Effective Oral and written communication

- Computer proficiency in MS Word / Excel / Power point and ability to analyze reports / graphs and simple manuals and contracts.
