Role Designation: Senior Practice Lead Knowledge Services

Domain: FP&A Commercial Analysis

Job Location: Hinjewadi Phase-2, Pune

Shift Time: Australian Shift

Responsibilities:

- Preparing forecasts and scenario modeling for business decisions in the retail environment

- Developing Management reports and variance analysis (against financial performance metrics)

- Analysis of business performance and build financial models based on business decisions.

- Function-wise Budgeting and helping function head manage their costs effectively by understanding of business variables impacting the costs

- Communicating with all major stakeholders (internal and external) to achieve business objectives.

- Ensuring that all commercial activities meet or improve on budget, cost, volume and efficiency targets

(Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)) in line with business objectives:

- Developing appropriate financial projections and providing necessary input into reviews of business combinations (such as mergers with other firms), expansion through lateral hire or practice restructuring.

- The individual will also be available to assist the F&A function as needed during the production of financial projections as part of the annual financial planning cycle.

- Understanding the value drivers of the business and identifying profitable commercial opportunities to grow revenue and market share.

Experience / skills / education:

Work Experience:

- Good working knowledge of Accounting basics with an ability to interpret financial results

- Well-versed with basic Finance terminologies. Experience in preparation of flash report / dashboards and management review packs would useful

- Variance Analysis Budget vs Forecast Vs Actual

- Annual Budgeting understand periodic forecasting and tracking actuals to budget

- Scenario planning

- Financial modelling

- Ability to utilize Excel and MI systems to an advanced level. In depth working knowledge of best practices to be followed when analyzing high volumes of complex data, producing management information and conducting investment appraisal on strategic initiatives.

- Prior experience in conducting market research and analysis to create detailed business plans on commercial opportunities (expansion, business development etc.)

Skills Must Have:

- Collaborate with and coordinate diverse teams (marketing, sales, customer service etc.)

- Skilled in reviewing performance of all business metrics with respect to competition

- Solid knowledge of performance reporting and financial/budgeting processes

- Should have prior experience in working in different forecasting techniques, regression techniques, financial modeling techniques.

- Scenario building and cost benefit analysis

- New opportunity analysis

- Client relationship skills

- Fluent verbal and written communication skills, presentation skills, client interaction

Skills Good to Have:

- Experience working with Telecom business and Data structure, Reporting, Visualization

- Ability to work effectively in a team environment

- Ability to develop a deep understanding of the business and its key drivers

- Hands On attitude - willing to contribute at all levels in a small but high performing team environment with tight deadlines and multiple demands

Education:

- MBA preferred / PGDBM Finance/ Chartered Accountant / Cost Accountant

- 5-10 years, preferably in commercial analysis
