Operations Analytics is a recently established Practice at Infosys BPO and one of the growing service lines in the company.

The Practice:

- Drive business metrics that add to the top-line and / or profitability for your business

- Develop Descriptive (reporting) through to Prescriptive Analytics, based on your company's need

- Consolidate data across functional silos, standardize, analyze and visualize to support your decision-making

- We apply next-gen technology to all parts of the analytics lifecycle from data extraction to visualization & analysis

Designation: Practice Lead-Analytics (Telecom)

Job Purpose: We are looking for Practice lead - Analytics in Telecom domain, who will lead a team of data scientists/data base developers and visualizers to build and deliver advanced analytics models reporting and automation projects and solutions across retail business unit of a telecom giant, units and functions (e.g., brick and mortar, contact center, channel Operations, Products and complaints). In addition, this role s/he would lead data mining of disparate data streams to derive strategic insights for the business and provide analytics support for new initiatives. This position needs to handle and manage a team of 15-20 members and interact with client and onsite stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

1. Help develop advanced statistical and machine learning models to answer business problems against large and diverse and complex databases and showcase value through visualization.

2. Work with data and IT teams across the client organization to ingest and interpret data stream.

3. Help develop model specifications, codes and outputs to enable implementation by IT or functional data teams.

4. Perform R&D around different internal and 3rd party data sources for model development Research newer tools, algorithms, datasets for different business analytic applications.

5. Break down high level business problems into smaller analytic and modeling exercises for rapid testing and deployment of solutions.

6. Communicate model outputs/findings to diverse analytics and business audiences through rich visualizations and decks.

7. Lead a team of 15+ people for the same

What are we looking for in you:

- Educational Requirements (Must have):

Graduation in Engineering with at least 11 years of Experience, OR

PG / Master of Business Administration, with at least 9 years, OR

Non Engineering Graduate with at least 12 years of Experience

Work Experience:

- Must have worked in Telecom space for 6-8 years min with large and complex data sets and tools

- Ability to partner with business stakeholders to develop solutions for loosely defined problems.

- Team leadership: Must have experience in managing and mentoring a team of analysts, consultants and Managers.

- Strong experience in scripting and statistical programming using R, python, SQL, SAS

- Excellent command on data bases and scripting tools like Tera-Data, ETLs like SSRS.SSDT/ Lavastrom

- Experience with big data platforms for visualization and processing like Hadoop/Hive/Tableau.

- Self-starter and high degree of attention to detail.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Experience working with geographically distributed teams. Knowledge of one or more business/functional areas.

- Expertise in statistical modeling, data mining, machine learning model development

- Experience in data analysis on large databases with structured and unstructured data

- Telecom and Retail industry background preferred
