Primary areas of responsibilities :

As a Data Scientist, you will solve complex challenges and identify new opportunities using a combination of Data analytical expertise, business acumen, strategic thinking, and project & relationship management skills. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a new strategic initiative

- Analytics Domain intensive delivery - Must have strong knowledge about statistical techniques like segmentation, predictive modeling, statistical modelling clustering, linear regression, logistic regression, SVM, Random Forest, Gradient Boosting, Optimization and time series forecasting to derive meaningful insights from data and to build high level solutions that predict and optimize business outcomes based on client's success criterion.

- Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis including statistical modelling to convert data into insights

- Conceptualize the analytics solutions to address the client's business need

- Build analytical solutions which are predictive or have forward-looking measures to develop - foresights- or alerts around business metrics

- Translates insights into an analysis reports and communicate insights back to clients

- Develop paid PoCs (Proof of Concepts) working with client stakeholders and mapping their business pain points and problems to Analytics needs, and leveraging relevant tools and frameworks

- Client interaction - To work with clients to understand their pain areas and build solutions around those areas. Building long term relations with stakeholders and handles major escalations if any.

- Project Management - Manage ongoing program/project delivery management of the analytics and modeling function from different industry verticals.

- Team Management - As a people manager, build and develop analytics as well as modeling capabilities to contribute in the growth of analytics team. To ensure employee engagement and motivation within team.

- Business domain knowledge of Infosys BPO Vertical and Horizontal solution offerings like F&A/S&P, FSI, etc. to provide optimized and superior solutions

What are we looking for in you:

- Excellent Statistical and Analytical Skills

- Skills in Statistical modeling, Machine Learning and SQL. Hands-on experience in analytical tools like Python, R and SAS

- Good (English) communication skills and the ability to interact and network with both internal and external stakeholders

- Self-motivated and takes ownership

- Works effectively both independently and as a member of a cross-functional team

- Good understanding of some of the widely used analytics techniques like Logistic Regression, Random Forest, Support Vector Machine, ANN, Optimization, Time Series Forecasting, Text Analytics etc.

- Experience in Image Analytics and Voice Analytics would be a plus

- Understanding of Big Data domain would be a plus
