Role: Business/Category Head - 99acres.com Reporting to: Chief Business Officer Location: Noida, HO About the role: - Real estate industry is a large opportunity and while 99acres is the market leader in real estate classified segments in India, we think we have just explored the surface. 99acres aspires to be a 1000 Cr+ business in next 4-5 years and hence as a part of its growth strategy, we are hiring next generation business leaders to lead 99acres in this direction. - These next generation business leaders will join us as category heads for our categories like new homes, re-sale, rental and commercial. They will act as a fulcrum around which the category will operate. The person will be responsible to scale up existing parts of the business, identify newer opportunities and help execute growth plans around the category. Key Responsibility Areas: - Responsible for P&amp;L and market share growth for the vertical. - Develop and execute the category strategy and roadmap in sync with the overall 99acres plan/strategy. - Analyze business and market trends to recommend new strategies to increase sales, for the respective category. Look at all relevant customer segments (buyers/tenants, sellers, builders or brokers) to monetize better. - Gather market intelligence &amp; insights, competition intelligence, and determine new opportunities to develop the category. Responsible for end-to-end business development for the category. - Work with the other functional leaders in the company to make sure all teams are working seamlessly to deliver on the roadmap. Keeps working closely with all stakeholders to ensure alignment around overall direction. - Develop strong working relationships with Product, Sales, Marketing, Operations, Tech and Design teams to translate the category roadmap into key initiatives for them; program manage it to ensure effective &amp; timely closures. - Builds expertise on the category owned; implements &amp; drive continuous improvements &amp; enhancement in the category hence enhancing product/platform usage and revenue. - Discover and implement leading practices, latest tools and technologies for the category and influence other departments to consider them. Requirement: - Strong business acumen. Have a 360-degree thinking around all aspects of business. - Experience in early-stage startup environment and inherent hustle factor will be an advantage. - Willingness to get hands dirty for understanding of market, end users and clients and drive the business. - Ability to be strategic - think ahead, see big picture and have a long-term view. - Strong problem solver. - Ability to manage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
