Ecommerce Pricing Head

- The Ecommerce Pricing Head will work closely with Business Stakeholders to define product pricing and shipping pricing opportunities and identify how pricing facts, data, and decisions link to overall business strategy improvements to grow revenue and profit for their line of business.

- We are looking for candidates with excellent analytic skills with a data discovery mindset to champion new ideas through pricing strategies to grow revenue and profit.

Responsibilities :

- Analyze business processes to assist in the development of solutions that are fully aligned with overall business goals.

- Plan and design business processes and make recommendations for changes in order to improve and support business systems and activities.

- Collaborate and conduct meetings with Business Stakeholders (Vendor Management, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Product, Operations) on setting prices, testing pricing, tracking results, and promoting pricing strategies on current and new product launches.

- Use industry knowledge to recommend options that will optimize company functions or processes. Uses historical data, sales trends, and market research to develop forecasts, track sales quota, and provide various reporting insights (daily, weekly, monthly).

- Run exploratory data analysis to identify new ideas and opportunities

- Proactively monitor our pricing, cost, and margin levels to identify potential issues, determine root causes, and resolve

- Manage margin at the portfolio level and help the company make efficient profit trade-offs to meet our business goals

- Determine where to invest in lower prices and aggressive promotions in the short term for long term growth and build communication plans around the investment strategy

- Communicate your vision, roadmap, and priorities to the senior leadership team and drive alignment with relevant business leaders on top priorities and the business value for major initiatives

- Act as a valuable thought partner to key leaders and help shape and influence their business objectives, measures of success, and priorities

- Determine the complexion of resources needed short-term and longer-term to execute on your roadmap across engineering, data science, and analytics and work with leaders in those areas to build dedicated teams to execute your vision

Desired Skills and Abilities:

- 6+ years of work experience in a relevant field (in addition to any graduate education)

- Strong business acumen, analytical skills, and technical abilities along with problem-solving skills

- Excellent communication and data presentation skills covering objectives, plans, status, roadblocks, and results

- Experience managing teams and cross-functional stakeholders

- Experience with SQL or a structured programming language (aggregate functions, query optimization, stored procedures, string parsing, etc.), is a plus
