We are looking for a Category Manager/Owner to join our team! As a Category Owner, you will be responsible for managing an assigned group of products.
You will be the one responsible for branding and promotion of that product group with the goal to optimize sales. Building strong relationships with all the vendors is extremely important for this role. Relationships with vendors, commercial mindset as well as understanding consumers' wants and needs and will also be part of your duties.
Role & Responsibilities :
1. Manage Portfolio : New brand acquisition and pricing strategy, category merchandising on website, managing product portfolio and inventory management.
2. Vendor management: Vendor development & management, vendor relationship management.
3. Customer management : Managing key customers, developing multiple channels, optimizing omni channel sales- through mix of online and offline sales
4. Marketing : Developing relevant category content for marketing and promotions, working closely with digital marketing team to optimize spends across different digital channels.
5. Category Analytics : Proficient in data and analytics to identify growth areas and execute.
6. Preferable Industries : Row Labels, Office Supplies, Lab Supplies, Medical supplies & equipment, Solar, Agriculture Garden & landscaping, Safety, Automotive maintenance & accessories.
Desired skills :
1. Previous working experience as category owner for atleast 2 years
2. Expertise in category management
3. In-depth knowledge of marketing and sales operations and processes
4. Hands on experience with analyzing big data and making forecasts
5. Analytical and critical thinker
6. Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
