Roles and Responsibilities - A P&L role, lead the overall all sourcing, category management, merchandizing and supply chain for Indus fresh - Lead a team of farmer partners, buyers, merchandizers and supply chain managers - Conceptualize and execute the required strategy for the "farm to plate" 3 pillars - farmer & supplier relationship. Assortment management and supply chain to drive - range, quality, cost and speed - Implement world class category management and assortment practices to ensure presence across categories like fruits, vegetables, exotics, super foods, hydroponics, cuts, salads, frozen in order to build market leadership - Institutionalize concept of "marketplace of farmers" through a framework for on boarding, engagement, performance management of farmers and farmer partners through tech enabled supply chain - Establishing framework of tracking, managing & negotiating procurement prices from multiple channels, direct from farmers (captive and contract farming), APMC, aggregators and importers - Build key consumer value proposition like traceability, naturally grown, handpicked and freshness - Build a block chain enabled Agri Tech supply chain in partnership with product and technology teams - As a part of the top management team, drive business strategy, high quality execution, long term sustainable financial prudence and a vibrant employee culture - Attract, hire and groom AAA talent across teams Experience required: - 12-15 years of overall experience with at least 5 years in buying, sourcing of Fruits & Vegetables; at least 3 years in merchandizing and at least 3 years in supply chain - Experience of establishing a technology enabled ecommerce marketplace a must - Highly number oriented individual with strong business acumen and experience of handling P&L - Ability to manage large geographically spread out teams on the ground across functions - Graduate from Tier 1 institute and MBA from Tier 1 institute like IIM, ISB, SPJAIN, IMT, MDI, IIFT only - Has experience in working in at 1-10 and 10-100 stage in new age ventures - Strong organizational skills and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously, set priorities, and work in a team with diverse cultural backgrounds - Strong negotiation skills at a senior level with international manufacturing companies - Solution oriented with a high sense of quality, attention to detail, accuracy, efficiency, and meeting tight deadlines - Experience with large-scale organizational change efforts and continuous improvement efforts
