Experience:
- Profound knowledge of Acts, Rules, Provisions, Trade Agreements (FTA/PTA/CEPA), INCOTERMS
- Knowledge of EPCG scheme, Advance Authorisation Scheme, Duty Drawback and other export incentives, project import, MOOWR, Bonding-Ex Bonding etc.
- Well versed with online portals used for document filing, tracking and applications (ICEGATE, DGFT etc.)
- Working knowledge of GST.
- Ability to manage litigation matters
- Comparative analysis
- Ability to keep good relationship with the Govt. departments.
- Strong drafting, communication, and presentation skills
- Must be collaborative and results focused
- SAP knowledge, MS office
- Drive for Automation, Digitalisation, keeping updated on changes in Tax arena
KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Verification & handling of import / export documents.
- Selection of various clearance schemes by evaluating appropriate benefits.
- Verification of checklists pre-arrival and verification of bills of entry / shipping bills post clearance.
- Seamless co-ordination with freight forwarders, custom brokers (CHA) and logistics partners.
- Interaction with Customs / DGFT officials according to the requirement.
- Making applications to DGFT/Customs for obtaining various export incentives
- Monitoring of installation of goods cleared under EPCG scheme.
- Closure of authorisations including bond cancellation with customs.
- Finalization of provisionally assessed bills of entry / shipping bills
- Filing refund applications and follow up thereof.
- Maintenance of Import and Export MIsS
- Accounting, booking and reconciliation of any tax / duty paid for clearance of import /
