Indifi - Underwriter (4-5 yrs)
Responsibilities :
- Lead a team of credit officers and assist them in verifying the accuracy of loan applications.
- Assessment of borrower profile, income stability, and repayment capacity.
- Understand financial statements, banking analysis, and bureau reports.
- Meeting and personal discussion with applicant to understand the business profile, risk areas, and loan requirements.
- Coordinating with sales, operation, legal, technical, and customer service teams effectively.
- Timely processing of the proposals to ensure faster TAT.
- Ensuring adherence to the internal credit policy, RBI guidelines, and guidelines specific to NBFC.
- Tracking existing portfolio to analyze such cases for future actionable to maintain underwriting quality.
- Understand and effectively manage the team's governance and performance.
Skills & experience required:
- 5+ years of experience in unsecured business loans/ Fintech Lending
- Masters or any postgraduate qualification highly desirable. Bachelors in a related field like accounting, economics, business management, statistics, etc.
- Knowledge of various products such as business loans, line of credit, dropline OD, etc. will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of financial statement analysis, general accounting, cash flows, financial ratios, etc.
- Critical thinker with strong decision-making ability
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Perform well in team environments
