AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY :
Market Intelligence:
- Tracking global/local trends, analyzing product innovations requirement in line with competition and market for the assigned product category.
- Identifying product gaps vis- vis market analysis and existing product portfolio to create new product strategy in close coordination with the sales and product development team.
- Gathering insights on the performance of existing and newly launched products in the market and making necessary changes in the strategy.
Consumer Insights:
- Gaining deep understanding of customer needs (both primary and secondary customers) and market dynamics for the assigned product category.
- Analyzing market trends, consumer behavior and competition analysis for the assigned product category for every assigned market.
- Creating compelling product propositions on the basis market trend, consumer trends, and competition analysis in close coordination with the product development team.
- Maintaining a deep understanding of teaching pedagogy and requirements (current or future) through interactions with teachers and parents.
Product Planning and Life Cycle Management-
- Managing the entire product life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities.
- Responsible for setting a product vision and strategy and devising the roadmap to achieve the strategic goals and initiatives behind the product category.
- Defining strategy for new product development, budget, revenue forecast in line with the business plan.
- Firming up the product development plan in line with the product mix, market requirement, emerging trends and organization's goals in close coordination with sales and product development team.
- Working closely with sales team in achieving the assigned target and profitability for the assigned product category.
- Reviewing the product performance closely and ascertaining the various contributing factors such as: price, quality, market trend, etc.
Product Pricing and Profitability:
- Tracking the pricing of competitor's products for the assigned product category vis- vis pricing of our product.
- Suggesting appropriate strategy for the relevant price positioning keeping in mind the competition, our value proposition, sales growth and overall profitability.
- Keeping a track of budgeted profitability vis- vis on-going sales performance for the assigned product category.
Product training and workshops:
- Conducting product trainings to increase product awareness of both existing and new products for existing Indizens on periodic basis.
- Articulating the USPs of the assigned product category and ensuring the dissemination of the same within sales team.
- Tracking the effectiveness of product trainings /workshops and identifying the area of improvement.
