Indian Political Action Committee (I-PAC) is seeking professionals who can play a pivotal role in the finance function to support its multiple projects across locations. After making a mark in an extensive Lok Sabha election campaign and assembly election campaigns across Bihar in 2015, Punjab & Uttar Pradesh in 2017, Andhra Pradesh in 2019 and West Bengal & Tamil Nadu in 2021. Your responsibilities will include: - Maintain of regular books of accounts in the software as well as documentation related to it - Prepare MIS on a weekly basis - Perform general day-to-day accounting activities and ad-hoc analysis - Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures - Ensure timely bank payments - Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups on regular intervals - Compute taxes and prepare tax returns - Audit financial transactions and documents - Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls - Liaise with the Finance Manager to report and improve procedures Qualification and Preferences: - Degree in Accounting or Finance is a must (Master's preferred) - Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures - 3-5 years' experience in general and tax accounting Core Competencies Required: - Strong knowledge of accounting software Tally - Advanced knowledge of Excel skills including v-lookups and pivot tables - Ability to function well in a team - oriented environment - Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills - Good communication skills - written, oral & presentation - Flexibility to Travel
