Key Responsibility Areas : 1. Creating a product vision, maintaining a prioritized feature backlog and roadmap, and creating internal buy-in 2. Define metrics, conduct A/B testing, and oversee measurement of new algorithms and approaches 3. Identify and analyze behavioral trends (user searches and supplier activity) internal to IndiaMART, and personalize results 4. Identify business opportunities by doing trends / seasonal trends analysis and feed business 5. Experimenting with search relevance algorithms, and carrying out systematic statistical analysis to pick out features that impact customer experience the most 6. Use Big Data technologies (such as Hadoop, Spark, Storm) to build large scale data mining pipelines for recommendation and search 7. Apply data mining and machine learning to improve the ranking and recommendations as part of search work-flow 8. Build these products using technologies such as Solr, Elastic Search, REST web services, SQS/Kafka, Machine Learning, and more 9. Working with the self-owned development team to ensure requirements are clear and rational, making trade-offs as needed, and delivering a finished product that achieves its goals, on schedule 10. Proactively identifying and resolving strategic issues and risks that may impact the team's ability to meet goals 11. Defining and scoping projects by working closely with business customers to understand their needs and priorities along with internal and competitive information into clear, prioritized requirements 12. Management and delivery of projects with the highest levels of performance, reliability, usability and customer delight 13. Identification and prioritization of projects with an understanding of trade-offs and impact 14. Cross functional leadership: Will be required to work in a highly dynamic work environment which requires strong skills in terms of cross-functional team coordination, consensus building among various verticals within the organization and across departments to achieve overall business objectives in a timely &amp; efficient manner. Qualifications : - B. Tech or M. Tech in Computer Science(MBA would be preferred). - Minimum 5 years of experience in development of internal site search of scale. - 8 - 15 years Exp Experience : - Experience with one or more search technology including but not limited to: Elastic Search/Solr - Experience in Machine Learning techniques such as Forecasting, Classification, Clustering, Text Mining, Decision Trees, Random Forest and Search algorithms - Exposure to data interpretation/crunching to unleash the power of data, generate predictions which can help automate solutions for improved user experiences - Experience in handling data in the form of text, speech &amp; image Skill Sets : 1. Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills 2. Competency in Power BI or similar tools 3. Understand Severity and Priority needs 4. Strong business acumen.
