India Treasury Manager - Vice president - Investment Bank (10-15 yrs)

- The successful candidate will perform the role of India Treasury Manager, as part of the Treasury team in India.


- The candidate will be responsible for the active monitoring and management of the entity's key liquidity metrics, assisting with the funds transfer pricing model, capital management and daily cash management activities. Knowledge and skills developed within Markets, Finance and Risk within the financial services industry would support the above.


- A background or direct exposure to ALM, Capital, Funding, Liquidity Management, regulatory liquidity requirements and other Treasury topics would be looked upon favourably.

- The candidate will be an independent and self-motivated contributor to the local franchise, regional and global Treasury team. The key stakeholders for the role will be country management, business heads and business managers, infrastructure partners and our banking regulators.


- The position requires an experienced and confident individual, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and develop working relationships across the bank. The role requires close interaction across all regions and core functions. This role will require the candidate to build relationships and leverage contacts throughout the Group to be successful.

Your Role and Responsibilities :

Based in Mumbai, the candidate will be responsible for:

- Performing the role secretary of the banks India Asset Liability Committee and providing analyses and information for the committee meetings. Supporting the India Treasurer to set the agenda and ensure that business strategy, risk appetite and regulatory requirements are adequately considered when managing capital, liquidity and funding

- Proposing liquidity risk limits across the curve from overnight to longer term

- Working with businesses and their Finance groups to design processes and compile information and data to manage the structural term asset and liability profile. Preparing a robust funding plan at regular intervals to provide business with funding targets. Enforcing targets within strict deadlines and tracking performance to targets.

- Assisting with setting Liquidity Premiums as part of the Funds Transfer Pricing for term assets and liabilities to help drive the funding strategy of the bank.

- Working with the India Treasurer to steer the branch's Liquidity and ensuring compliance with various regulatory requirements such as Stress Test, LCR, NSFR, other Treasury regulations as well as local regulations issued by the RBI etc.

- Preparation of key liquidity, funding, and regulatory topics for senior committees and key stakeholders to support Treasury participation in forums/meetings

- Ongoing management, development and implementation of changes in Liquidity methodology

- Good understanding of Money Markets and interest rate risk management. Ability to assist with daily cash management process as required and being fully equipped to back-up the India Pool manager for banks India branch.

- Familiarity with Basel capital regulations as well as local regulatory requirements and being able to assist in discussions relating to BS steering, etc.

- Understanding the regulatory environment (as it relates to Treasury) and the likely impacts to the local business

- Ensuring the Treasury team and business are appraised of developments and changes, together with the likely impacts to the local business

- Assisting businesses in achieving their objectives within the Bank's risk management framework

- Working with respective Treasury functional leads on relevant Treasury projects within the region/globally. Additional functional involvement within other Treasury areas such as Liquidity Management, Funds Transfer Pricing and Capital Management, subject to the candidate's experience
