Manager - Policy &amp; Market (Energy Storage &amp; eMobility) Job Description : The candidate will lead IESA policy activities and engagement with state and central government officials on policy advocacy on behalf of IESA members. He/she needs to be actively involved in various government committees to give appropriate inputs and participate in policy discussions. The profile also includes keeping oneself updated with the global policy landscape. Pre-Requisite : - Clear understanding of the regulatory framework in the energy storage, electric vehicle sector in India, and various states - Basic Knowledge on Indian and global energy sector and transport sector - The candidate should be comfortable to speak/ in communicating with CXO level executives and senior government officials. Job Responsibilities : This position's major responsibilities are to understand and advise in policy formation, industry stakeholder's discussion, and creation of policy papers. The profile also includes keeping oneself updated with industry information. The candidate is expected - Interpret policy issues relating to energy storage, smart grid, EVs, renewable energy and collection of relevant energy statistics - Specifically, high understanding of energy storage, EV &amp; charging infra policy and tenders by both central and state government. - Reviews, interprets, and assists in the understanding of the actual impact existing and proposed regulations will have on the clients- business - Understanding global policy landscape (in USA, Europe, China and other countries) and interlinking between various departments - Responsible for sensitizing clients / company on different regulatory issues including the emerging ones - Need to contribute for Annual market report and monthly Storage IQ reports - Need to understand and open to learn about new business models &amp; technologies - Responsible for appraisal of regulatory issues of new energy storage, EV business models and related issues with state DISCOMS &amp; transport departments for business clients. - Need to lead IESA Policy Working Group and represent IESA at different government and industry forums. - Effectively manage the request intake process including participating in project scoping calls to clarify understanding and prepare a detailed project scope document - Contribute to the delivery and presentation of client deliverables (MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, MS Word) - prepare client ready presentations that are well structured, logical and clear to understand - Articulate findings through visually appealing / appropriate frameworks and in a clear, concise, and grammatically correct business English (both written and verbal) - Analysis of various technical and economic aspects of renewable energy sector regulations, keeping track of international and national trends in the Renewable Energy Sector Location : Pune, India Qualifications : - UG : B.Tech/ B.E. - Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunication, Mechanical, Chemical, EEE - PG : MBA, MS from reputed institution - Experience in regulatory affairs for at least 5+ years - Prior experience in energy storage and EV will be an added advantage - Experience with think tanks, associations will be preferred. - Knowledge of key domestic / international players, their areas of operations, existing and planned activities and capacities etc Additional Information : This is a full time position with 6 months of probationary period. In this capacity the candidate will be paid a fairly competitive salary with industry standards.
