Independent Consultant - India Corporate Legal - IT Lawyer - Investment Bank

Position Overview:

The broad nature of work will be reviewing, drafting and negotiation of IT, market data, Non-IT contracts and advisory.

Role & Responsibilities:

Specialist Information Technology lawyer with a strong focus on the following:

- Drafting, review and negotiation of contracts related to Software licenses, Hardware procurements, Cloud services, and other IT related services and non IT related services;

- Advisory on Open source and Freeware terms and conditions;

- Advise on information technology related laws including Cyber laws ;

- Remain constantly updated on the emerging IT trends and legal implications revolving around modern day technology disruption issues such as robotics, financial technology, cloud computing etc. and other technology developments and keep the business and senior management abreast of these changes;

- Respond and provide solutions to legal queries posed by the business teams in relation to the contractual agreements and related terms;

- Diligently track and report tasks and status to the management

Key Skills:

- In depth experience in handling IT contracts and provide advice on IT related issues;

- Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and an eye for detail; Self-starter, problem solver and ability to work with minimal supervision;

- Strong analytical skills;

- Work efficiently and complete tasks under tight deadlines;

- Experience in managing a team would be an added advantage;
