1. Set accounting policies, procedures and timeline for accounting and reporting activities.

2. Plan, train, direct, supervise and manage the people and work of accounts department.

3. Ensure accountability for all activities - income, expense, assets, liabilities, consumables, rejections, waste, scrap etc. and all other resources of the unit.

4. Maintains adequate, up to date and accurate books of accounts, registers, documents and records reflecting the true and correct details of raw material inventory, consumable inventory, engineering materials inventory, semi-finished and finished goods inventory, rejection inventory, scrap inventory, production waste/ancillary product inventory, general ledgers of income, expenses, assets, capital, reserves, liabilities and provisions etc., fixed asset registers and also other records mandated by any statutory body.

5. Ensuring that the books of accounts and registers reveals true and correct financial position and profitability of the unit.

6. Timely reporting of correct data to concerned departments, as approved or instructed by Head Office Accounts & Finance team.

7. Exercise proper control over stores, material movements and ensure accountability.

8. Maintain up to date product costing and report to factory head on need.

9. Financial budgeting, review of actuals, fixing responsibility for deviations, If any, and control on overall financial performance of the unit.

10. Timely reporting of the financial position and profitability of the unit at overall unit level, product category level, SKU level and process level.

11. Set and control the standard investment, rotation of fund and ROI goals of the unit.

12. Timely reporting of exceptions to the top management.

13. Timely reporting of possibilities for improvement and action plan

14. Measuring process-wise product-wise production capacity and assessing actual utilisation of the unit and report.

15. Reporting product costing (standard v/s actual cost) with detailed variance analysis.

16. Reporting cost of machinery, tools and dies, including the repairs and maintenance cost thereof.

18. Reporting Standard waste V/s actual waste with reason for deviation.

19. Reporting rejection and rejection cost and exercising control thereon.

20. Control the Bill of Material of each SKU, analyse material consumption and reporting abnormal wastage on time.

21. Capital budgeting analysis and reports for investment decisions.

22. Dealing with financial institutions, submission of various documents and reports to financial institutions as approved / instructed by Head Office Finance & Accounts.

23. Dealing with insurance providers and timely claiming and recovery of loss / damage, if any.

24. Submitting cost reduction plans to management.

25. Statutory compliance - all taxation related matters - Income Tax, GST, Customs Duty etc. Managing procedures, documentation and follow-ups for timely refund of any taxes/duty.

26. Managing procedures, documentation and follow-ups for timely claim and realisation of drawback / other export incentive.

27. Framing, training, implementation, review, and improvement of processes and procedures relating to all financial and inventory transactions on timely basis.

28. Training and development of Accounts and Stores team
