Data Specialist, Alteryx:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Data Specialist work closely with the Head of Data Services and Products teams on delivering project independently, leading data analysts to carry out defined pieces of data analysis using Alteryx.

Role and Responsibilities:

- Development of process automations using Data Transformation using Alteryx

- Support and manage business focused Alteryx reporting and workflow. Set up the production workflow measuring KPIs for the business.

- Work with Line of business stakeholders during agile development sessions to create and improve workflow leveraging newly on-boarded data sources.

- Query data and merge information from diverse data sources to create rich datasets that enable better decision-making.

- Analyse data using tools to develop and automate reports or analysis that lead to actionable business insights.

- Work with other Analytics teams and multi-task on projects to summarize and synthesize data and present recommendations to the businesses in a clear and logical manner.

- Support on-going development by partnering with business to identify needs, define new data sets,

technical testing and launch support including training of new users.

- Identify unexplored data opportunities for the business to unlock and maximize the potential of digital data within the organization.

- Keep abreast of technology trends and provide recommendations for testing new and emerging technology. Support ongoing technology evaluation process and proof of concept projects.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

- Minimum of 4-6years of experience in projects, preferably related to automations or analytics in the supply chain domain.

- Minimum 4-6 years of experience developing data visualization and presentations preferably with Alteryx.

- Experience integrating Python in Alteryx is a plus.

- Willing to learn new tools and develop process-based automations to solve opportunities identified to be solved using technology.

- Experience with relational databases utilizing SQL concepts to work and summarize large datasets, report creation and ad-hoc analyses.

- Experience in reporting development and testing, and ability to interpret unstructured data and draw objective inferences given known limitations of the data.

- Demonstrated ability to think beyond raw data and to understand the underlying business context and sense business opportunities hidden in data.

- Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and partners from a variety of business functions.

Additional Skills/Experience Desired:

- Background in Data Management (knowledge of analytical tools like SAS, Qlik sense and database tools like MS Access, SQL/Oracle database)

- Knowledge of taxonomies like UNSPSC, NAICS, SIC, E-Class, HTS and other custom specific taxonomies

- Knowledge of E2E automation for the data classification/Vendor Normalization process through ETL, Scripts or KB Lookups

- Knowledge of the sourcing, contract management, vendor discovery assessment, vendor risk management, invoice reconciliation & leakage detection, spend miner services, P2P process, etc.
