SPAN OF CONTROL : DIRECT/ INDIRECT Direct - 7 to 8; Indirect -25 to 30

The Role / Responsibilities :

Brief Overview : Responsible for the business performance of the sectors under one's purview and running the operations of the sectors profitably. Coordinate with the COO and MD and keep track of lead generation, project wins, execution and delivery to the client and collection of receivables.

Function(s) that the position is responsible for : Business planning and budgeting, lead generation, conversion, project execution and closure, team management, receivables management and Recruitment and mentoring resources. Ensuring visibility of the company and improve brand positioning in the market.

Principal Responsibilities :

Provide strategic inputs to the COO and MD on the business performance of the company

Review the performance of the sectors in discussion with the COO

Prepare the business plan and detail implementation strategies in discussion with the sector heads/co-heads

Identify resource requirements, including headcount, IT and other resources; detail KRAs for the employees in the sector and evaluation of performance

Identify new product and service opportunities by undertaking research and develop planning strategies, plans, controls, standards and policies.

Review project proposals and bids and finalise commercial quotes in discussion with the COO

Strategic review of proposals and associated infrastructure to provide sound advice and achieve sustainable strategic objectives within timeframes and budget

Regular monitoring of projects to ensure execution in a timely manner

Review profitability of various projects and ensure targeted profitability is met

Review the billings of the various practices regularly and ensure that the revenue targets are achieved

Respond appropriately to enquiries regarding a wide range of strategic planning issues.

Participate as speaker in reputed national and international forums

Qualifications :

- Degree in Engineering/Economics/Commerce with post graduate qualification in Management/Chartered Accountancy from Premier institute.

- Minimum experience of 15 years

- Strong functional/domain skills and analytical ability

- Strong inter personal skills and ability to deal with people with a sense of empathy and maturity

- Good leadership skills and ability to mentor highly skilled resources

- Understanding of land economics, development feasibility and valuation.

- Experience in infrastructure (urban, transport) planning.

The Department / Team :

- 7 or 8 consultants at Principal/Lead Consultant level and a team of consultants depending on the nature and size of the business

Key Relationship - Internal/ External

- Strong relationships with clients and prospects in Government, Corporate and Government Sectors. Industry Associations, Academic and Research institutes at the highest level

- IMaCS MD, COO, Sector and Functional heads at the group level
