Background & context:

IL&FS Clusters is one of the leaders in the manufacturing & industrial infrastructure advisory domain and is playing a key role in the development of industrial clusters in the country. We are already on expansion mode and one of our business verticals include entering into a semi e-commerce model wherein the tech-based platform will offer discovery and sharing of the manufacturing facilities PAN India. This technology-based B2B platform has multiple facets of addressing the current competitiveness of the manufacturing sector and will advise companies on critical challenges such as capacity utilization & cost optimization within the industry.

Job Profile & Requirements - 

We are looking for professionals who are well versed with the manufacturing and business processes. The candidate must have business development and marketing experience as the role requires the candidate to strategize and plan way of promoting the concept within the industry as well as generate deals / transactions within the industry. The candidate will effectively be responsible for leading the sector for IL&FS Clusters. Following is the list of activities (not exhaustive) on which the candidate is expected to perform

- Planning and implementation of sector specific strategy for on-boarding of large number of manufacturing companies across the sectors and sub-sectors responsible

- Pitching the concept to CXOs / decision makers of corporates, associations, trade commissions among others

- Guiding & training team for spreading the concept & getting companies on-boarded

- Sector responsibility of P&L and budgets

- Innovate and ideate ways and means to achieve the long-term goals of the company including contribution to the sectoral Knowledge Management initiatives

- Maintain knowledge of industry trends in procurement domain 


- Research competition and updates on global market trends

- Create customized solutions which address client business constraints

Job requirements :

- Ability to build & sustain businesses in specific sector/geographical domains

- Excellent verbal and written English language communication, presentation skills and influencing power

- MBA (Marketing / Operations) or equivalent, in addition to the aforementioned graduation, will be preferred

Experience :

- 10+ years total experience in sector and sales/marketing with exposure to business lead roles

- Experience in any one or more of the following is preferred: manufacturing operations/ procurement/vendor management/demand planning/supply chain

- Proven track record of business development in the Industrial Sector

- Must have created and managed teams and guided them to extraordinary success in the industrial products and services space.

- Must have build strong relationships in the industry that can be leveraged for Win-Win Opportunities
