Position: Associate - Origination - Debt Syndication

Key Responsibilities:

- IFMR Capital is looking for an Associate with 0-2 years of experience to join its Origination team at the offices in Chennai/Gurgaon.

- The Associate will be primarily responsible for the handling debt syndication deals in the in the various sectors that IFMR Capital currently operates in. S/he will part of a team that manages a portfolio of debt and structured finance investments in institutions with in the space of microfinance, affordable housing finance, small business loans and commercial vehicle finance across India

She/he Will Be Responsible For:

- Working on debt syndication transactions for clients in the micro finance, affordable housing finance, small business loans, commercial vehicle finance and agri finance.

- Understanding their debt requirements and work on proposals for various investors which include Private and Public Sector Banks and NBFCs

- Tracking financial and operational performance of clients on an on-going basis

- Closely interact with the Capital Markets sales team on various deals

- She/he must possess excellent financial analysis skills (MBA or Masters in Finance or a CA), strong written and oral communication skills (which will be tested at the recruitment stage), a desire to continually innovate, improvise and add value, and a sound understanding of financial services.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

- Minimum Qualification: An MBA in Finance from a top-20 institution, or CA (all levels passed).

- Minimum Experience: 0-2 experience in credit analysis, equity research, credit research, or corporate finance (banks, NBFCs, investment funds, or rating agencies).

Skills:

- Strong financial analysis skill needed

- Must be personable and presentable. Eloquence will be a bonus

- Fluency in English, written and oral required. Abilities in a second language a bonus

- Willingness to participate in field visits to our clients across the country to understand the business and operational model.

- Interest in financial inclusion

- Ability to stretch oneself and work under pressure, handle multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.

- Undertake all other duties and projects as may be assigned from time to time
