We have requirement for Manager OFC – roll out for Idea Cellular Ltd, Bihar Circle.

Position is based at Patna.

With the need of increased bandwidth and availability, the OFC operations which primarily stresses on reducing MTTR, maintaining loss/km under prescribed limit and fiber pair availability for future growth and utilization have become the focus area.

Keeping in view of increased OFC length (OWN+IRU) spread across Bihar and Jharkhand, the tough terrain and disturbed zone, we are in need of person who can support and be part of OFC operations team.

Key Result Areas/Accountabilities and Supporting Actions: Write the key results expected from the job and the supporting actions for each of these key result areas (For a majority of jobs typically there could be 4- 7 key result areas)

Key Result Areas/Accountabilities & Supporting Actions

Maintain MTTR < 4 Hrs

1. Ensuring availability of ABD drawing, LAT-LONG of chambers, landmark etc.

2. Proper placement of FRT

3. For-casting of material needed for Operation and maintenance of OFC network

Acceptance Testing from Project Vendors and Project Team

1. Perform AT or be the part of the team performing AT

2. Ensuring quality of OFC execution in-terms of depth, chamber placement and LAT-LONG availability.

Maintenance of DWDM, BB, Intracity, NLD and City access optical fiber cable in Bihar/Jharkhand circle.

1. Coordination with huawei/fibcom TAC team

2. Interaction with central NOC/circle NOC 3. Proper co-ordination with FRT/Idea engineers

Material/spares management/reconciliation.

1) Ensure records of Ducts, cables, closures, FMS and other consumable items.

2) Periodic reconciliation of spares with proper record against MUX and its relevant modules/cards.

OFC rectification activities under OPEX.

Ensuring as a process to underground aerial-cables within 30 days using open PO system.

Coordination with OFC Central NOC (Noida) / Circle TX NOC

Address escalations, resolve critical outage in consultation with circle/central NOC

Performances monitoring of IRU Fibers, IRU SLA and monthly Outage Signoff etc.

Coordination with other Operators for Performances of IRU Fibers, IRU SLA Monitoring and monthly Outage Signoff etc.

Managing authorities/govt bodies/local agencies for smooth operations of OFC network.

Liaison indirectly/directly with authorities/govt bodies/local agencies for smooth operations of OFC network.

Handling indenting/PO/materials etc.

1. Responsible for OPEX - Indenting, PO and materials

2. Co-ordination with internal customer like commercial, finance etc for approval/clearance of indent/po etc

Proper upkeep of TOOLS/ABD drawings

1. Proper upkeep of TOOLS (with proper TAG, SN, CALLIBRATION date etc).

2. Ensure all ABD drawings (hard copy+ Soft copy) along with relevant documents are maintained properly.
