Job Description :

1. Application forms Underwriting :

- Underwrite life insurance applications for Individual including online term,Credit and Group plans.

a. The NB applications against which a requirement letter need to be raised

b. The applications which require manual underwriting by virtue of the nature of product

c. The policies with alteration requests with respect to plan details

d. Revival cases

- Report suspicious transactions to Risk and Compliance team

2. TPA Networking :

- Coordinate with channel and NB team to ensure complete and correct medical reports in the timeline defined.

3. Support claims, compliance :

- Support the Claims team for investigation of the claims involving Medicals and underwriting inputs on the same.

- Provide the required data, justifications and underwriting inputs for cases raised by compliance under AML.

4. MIS reporting :

- Internal and Regulatory - Ensure timely & accurate generation of MIS Reports as per predefined frequency for internal teams & external stakeholders like IRDA for Decline Life Database.

5. Managing customer queries and complaints :

- Complaints & escalations resolution as per TAT.

a. From sales channels, customers through C2S2, Uwsolutions and UW helpdesk

b. IGMS queries

6. Reinsurance Management :

- Management and Underwriting life insurance applications above Auto acceptance limits of IDBI Federal and then referred to re-insurers for their decision.

a. Management of applications within our Auto acceptance would also be referred to re-insurer for their Medical or Financial Opinion

b. Monthly collation of the data for the placed cases with the re-insurer and sharing of the same with them as well as internal teams

c. Liaison with the Re-insurer for New & Existing product updating and revision

7. IT & Business Solutions :

- Auto Underwriting rule enhancement to improve upon the rework

a. Trace query login for system improvement on better deliverable

b. Underwriting guidelines & System development for any New product with UAT

8. Quality Check and Underwriting Audit :

- Quality Check for Auto Pass applications as a part of risk mitigation measure at underwriting.

- Online Audit for Underwriters which would assist in grant of higher limits.

9. Internal & External Training :

- Internal Training Conducting training for underwriting team on new product launch, case studies & guideline change.

- External Training Conducting Alpha & Beta star training for sales force.
