Forex Dealer


Job Purpose:

- Handle Forex (FX) Flows of Corporate Clients of the Bank having forex exposure

- Manage Client relationships through continued market coverage by operating from desk and engaging with clients over call

- Execute deals seamlessly and generate FX business thereby meeting FX Volume and Revenue targets

Area of responsibility:

- Regular engagement with clients to update them about current market, market developments and regulatory developments

- Responsibility of business development and deepening client relationships across clients

- Active monitoring of client portfolio and engaging with the client to rebalance their hedging portfolios based on market opportunities

- Generating ideas as per prevailing market conditions and suiting client requirements

- Regular review of portfolio to highlight areas of concerns and business opportunities with internal stakeholders (Sales RMs, Commercial Banking, Branches etc.)

- Identifying New client (NCA) for FX business by tracking capital and current account flows, Market data, Balance of Payment data, External & Internal database mining

- Keeping abreast of latest Economic and Market developments in both Interest rate and Fx markets

- Adhering to the desk processes, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and internal policies and abide by all activities within the Dealer's code of conduct

- Contributing to rationalization of desk processes and taking up projects and new product development

Functional Skills:

- In depth knowledge of FX spot, tom, forwards and other FX and Interest rate products and exchange rate arithmetic

- Adept at dealing in foreign exchange

- In depth knowledge of regulations governing the FX Markets

- In depth knowledge of Indian and Global markets

- Adept at fundamental and technical analysis

- Good at client engagement and relationship management
