Overall Objective : - Support Head BSMG by analysing the day to day funding requirements to ensure adherence to internal policy requirements and external regulatory expectations - Support Head BSMG in the management of the overall balance sheet of ICICI BANK UK PLC Germany Branch - Support Head BSMG in managing the liquidity of the bank balancing investments and borrowings - Ensure LCR requirements are met and liquidity maintained as per limits approved within the risk appetite framework of the Bank - Propose strategies for managing the short term surplus funds with an objective to increase return - Propose strategies for managing the interest rate and other market risks arising in the banking book - Undertake projects and assignments from time to time as directed by supervisor Core responsibilities : - Formulate and recommend strategies for managing liquidity and interest rate risk with optimum cash holding - Ensure credit, liquidity, and interest rate risk limits are observed. - Ensure that business is conducted in accordance with all relevant external regulations and ICICI Bank UK PLC policies. - Work with Compliance, Finance and Risk to ensure that management within ICICI Bank UK PLC is provided with clear and accurate management information and reports. Reduce overlap in the number of reports produced. - Coordinate for the conduct of ALCO meetings and prepare the ALCO pack - Help provide guidance to support groups on procedures and processes necessary to ensure, and demonstrate, compliance with the Bank's policies. - Help to ensure adequate controls, procedures, systems, training and other arrangements are put in place Critical Competencies : - Understanding of the financial markets and financial instruments - Ability to work in a competitive environment - Balancing business requirements with the associated risk - Sound judgement and decision making skills - Ability to communicate effectively; - Good understanding of regulations governing the business Financial Management : - Efficiently manage funding costs - Efficiently manage liquidity costs - Maximise returns on the banks balance sheet People Management : - Build and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues - Build and maintain effective liaison with management across ICICI Bank UK PLC and elsewhere within the ICICI group Essential Experience : (must have skills) - Broad understanding of the financial markets and financial instruments - Understanding of the relevant regulatory environment - Understanding of Treasury and Compliance related policies as well as other relevant internal policy requirements - Ability to work in changing environment
