ICC - Research Analyst - Strategy Consulting (0-2 yrs)
The India Climate Collaborative (ICC) is a first of its kind, India-led and India-focused collaborative platform to drive climate change action in the philanthropy and CSR communities. The ICC is currently steered by an organising committee that includes Mahindra CSR, Azim Premji Philanthropic Initiatives, Rohini Nilekani Philanthropies, and Tata Trusts.
The ICC staff will work closely with the senior management from all four organizations, as well as other supporting members like Oak Foundation and MacArthur Foundation. The staff will work hand-in-hand with a team at Dalberg Advisors, who currently act as the interim secretariat for the collaboration.
About the role:
ICC is looking for people from diverse backgrounds who aspire to become leaders in global development or social impact by tackling a global issue such as climate change. They are looking for self-starters with an excellent academic record, a passion for development and an entrepreneurial spirit. You will be closely working with the Knowledge Manager in this role. Analysts have known to contribute to thought leadership and several have been published in outlets such as Huffington Post, Live Mint, Guardian, HT, Foreign Policy, Next Billion and others.
- This role is a full-time position as a consultant.
Roles and Responsibilities:
i) Conduct quantitative and qualitative research on topics related to climate change, like air pollution.
ii) Identify and understand problems through forecasting, gap analysis, quantitative reporting, research and statistical analysis.
iii) Create diagrams and documentation to pinpoint problems and solutions.
iv) Work with different levels of management and stakeholders.
i) A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Business, International Relations or a related field from a top tier Asian or global school
ii) 0-2 years of experience in domains such as strategy consulting, finance, social innovation
iii) Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to present information in an insightful and structured manner
iv) Deep analytical experience and passionate about simplifying complex problems into actionable insights
v) Strong Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint skills
i) Experience working with secondary research, both qualitative and quantitative
ii) Previous experience on researching topics of sustainability, climate change, public policy
