Hyderabad Football Club - Chief Operating Officer/Chief Executive Officer

Hyderabad Football Club (HFC) is a professional sports franchise playing in the Indian Super League club (ISL). HFC has completed just one year of operations and is now preparing to make its mark in the Indian sports eco system. The ISL has emerged as one of the country's leading sports leagues and viewership has grown tremendously over the last few years. The league is owned by Reliance and Star (Disney). ISL has now got participation in the Asian Football Confederation competitions.

HFC has in a very short span of time, entered in to a historic partnership with Borussia Dortmund, one of the worlds most supported football club. A number of strategic partnerships are also in the pipeline. The club is now in the process of building professional management team to grow the business beyond and become one of the leading clubs in Asia over the next few years.

Who are we looking for ?

We are looking for a self driven individual, having experience in senior management positions, who can manage existing operations and launch 4 -5 new business verticals, formulate strategic business and marketing plans and put in place a team of marketing/sales/finance personnel to efficiently man each of the verticals. He would be a key member of the senior management team and will be responsible to maintain control of diverse business operations. He should have an entrepreneurial mindset, strong on execution of business plan, be hands on as required for the start ups and turnarounds and build a good professional team. The Candidate should have leadership and communication skills, excellent people skills, business acumen and exemplary work ethics.

Responsibilities :

- Manage Operations of the club and the P&L responsibility to achieve as per targets set

- Understand the sports ecosystem, markets, meet potential partners and identify decision makers in the partner organisations;

- Focus on building a big fan base for the club;

- Hire the required Sales executives and other managerial personnel for the new business verticals and train and mentor them;

- Develop a comprehensive Sales and Business Plan, implement strategies for Brand positioning, strengthening the clubs grassroots and fan base;

- Oversee daily operations of the different business verticals and work of executives (Sporting, Finance, Marketing, Sales, IT, HR, etc.);

- Lead employees to maximize performance and evaluate by analyzing and interpreting data and metrics;

- Establish Polices that promote the culture and vision of the Group;

- Manage relationships with all Stakeholders.

Desired Background :

- MBA with 10-15 years experience.

- 7+ years experience in senior management decision making roles with P&L responsibility, having led a Team in achieving corporate goals and growing the business; and

- Prior work experience in Sports, Brand management would be an added advantage.
