Purpose of Department and Role : Global Analytics Centers (GAC) provides support to various business groups and functions. Members of the GAC are involved in data analysis, model and strategy development and implementation, Rule and scenario building, reporting and data management. These analyses form the information basis for strategic planning by the senior management for businesses and enables effective decision making to satisfy business needs and requirements along with addressing unforeseen challenges. This role within the Decision Sciences job family supports various analytical projects for the Financial Crime Threat Mitigation Analytics (FCTM-FCR) function. The FCTM Analytics team will be involved in providing best-in-class Analytics solutions to, Research and development, Intelligence &amp; Analytics, Transaction Monitoring, Network Analysis, Sanction screening, surveillance, etc. across lines of businesses and geographies within the organization. The team caters to both strategy and operations aspect of managing financial crime. - Enable Bank to monitor their customer transactions and review automated alerts for activities that may be unusual and indicative of potential money laundering/Fraud or other risk typologies. - Design, deploy, monitor and maintain models in various scenarios for Transaction Monitoring, Complex Investigations, Fraud etc. - Support FCTM investigation teams with analytical solutions for increased efficiency and operational effectiveness through models, scorecards and data attestation frameworks - Support implementation of Intelligence led Financial Crime Risk Management (ILFCRM) solutions through bespoke and strategic implementation platforms. Work closely with Financial Crime Risk Regional PODs and FCTM - Research &amp; Development teams on different projects. Job Description : The incumbent for this role is expected to Lead and manage the team perform following activities - Drive conceptualization, design solution and execution through effective Team / Project management. Analytical solutions will include statistical techniques (if required) to provide insight into the changing dynamics of FCR activities; Execute the assigned projects/ analysis as per the agreed timelines and with accuracy and quality through involvement in any or all of the following activities. - Data Quality Analysis, Segmentation, Analytical insights - Trend Analysis and Targeted solution design to reduce Noise - Design and implementation of basic and advanced Contextual Risk models for better and effective Transaction Monitoring. Skills/Experience Required : - Graduation / Post Graduation degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics or any other quantitative discipline. - 13+ years of experience of working in Analytics (BFSI domain would be a plus) with excellent data engineering skills using SQL, Python/R, Hive/Scala/Spark. - Significant experience in Analytics for BFSI domain. - Good understanding of Banking Products, Sales Practices, Trading Practices and other Financial Product know-how in Retail, Commercial &amp; Global Banking / Markets is critical. - Experience in developing &amp; delivering complex mathematical, statistical, econometric and/or ML/AI solutions. - Experience in managing Global projects with stakeholders spread across various geographies. - Understanding of regulatory implications and relevance in model risk management. - Significant experience in managing projects and teams, both direct and matrix. - Proven experience in managing stakeholders from multiple regions and supporting geographies across time zones. - Excellent communication skills with technical (the team) and non-technical (senior management) counterparts; being able to "translate" between the two worlds is essential - Strong analytical skills with an ability to grasp new concepts quickly. - Industry know-how on latest NLP based ML solutions. - Ability to be part of CXO discussions for Financial Crime Risk related topics, supporting Compliance agenda. - Strong people management skills to build and promote a highly motivated, engaged and dynamic work environment. - Strong stakeholder management skills to understand the business need and facilitate service delivery to meet the business requirement with effective time management and quality control mechanisms. - Strong project management skills with focused attention towards effective project governance. - Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving and verbal and written communication skills. - Strong financial management and budget control skills. - Suitable personalities with HSBC values - Open, Dependable &amp; Connected.
