Business Analyst - Wholesale Credit & Lending (WCL) -Transformation & Delivery

Wholesale Credit & Lending (WCL) -Transformation & Delivery is responsible for delivering high priority programs to simplify, digitize at scale and automate the credit and lending journey, as well as supporting the creation of a new, globally consistent credit and lending organization serving both Global Banking and Commercial Banking business lines which collectively build towards our vision of becoming a leader in digitally enabled domestic and cross border lending across network, by improving customer experience generating competitive advantage through use of data and participation in emerging borrowing models.

Business Analyst will work with colleagues across multi-disciplinary teams to produce and own business user requirements, functional specifications and business cases, validate and prioritize project requirements.

Primarily responsibilities would be:

- Identify, review and analyze business processes and systems to understand design implications across Business, IT and Operations

- Support reengineering of processes, where process is one of the many parts of the change, and provide detailed guidance on process design (considering risk, end-to-end and cost)

- Support with impact assessment for change requests on design, scope, time, budget or effort on program plan and provide accurate estimates for handling new requirements, design changes and scope

- Support the development of control structures and performance scorecards (KPIs) to ensure project milestones, budgets, resources and employee engagement aspirations are met, implementing mitigating actions as appropriate

- Work with markets/regions to understand regulatory, customer and competitive landscape

- Lead, contribute, challenge and advise effectively on areas within their scope, including internal committees / forums and support the provision of transparent and insightful feedback on status.

- Communicate with clarity, impact and passion to inspire audiences and create a shared understanding and commitment.

Leadership Deliverables:

- Support the team by quickly familiarizing new team members with the team's purpose and expectations

- Support Program leadership in communication of strategic direction across global, regional and country structures

- Support and encourage constructive cross-country, cross function, and cross-business teamwork by demonstrating collaboration and taking prompt action to address any activities and behaviors that are not consistent with HSBC's diversity policy and / or the best interests of the business and its customers.

- Give timely, honest and constructive feedback to others

- This role may occasionally lead other analysts on projects or program

Qualifications/ Skills:

- MBA/ PGDM from Tier 1 college preferred

- FRM certification is an added advantage

- Flexible and adaptable in an environment of constantly changing priorities and staying true to the values and strategy of the Group.

- Dealing with complex requirements.

- Supporting in the control of projects to meet exacting timescales.

- The systems and processes involved are often highly technical in nature or require specialist knowledge to fully understand and effectively support the change program
