Role : - The aim of this job is to support the Regional Data and Regulatory Reporting Manager to ensure that Credit &amp; Risk - adheres to Risk regulatory reporting requirements for HBEU and HBUK - Maintains a stable lending portfolio with due regard Large Exposure concentration limits - Other reporting requirements for Wholesale Credit &amp; Market Risk, Europe. Role Context - The role is to foster a modern and progressive credit culture that proactively identifies and manages risk with the aim of ensuring a sustainable high quality portfolio. At all times, the credit standards, as detailed in the Policy, must be followed. - In fulfilling these objectives, there may be a need to provide direction and guidance to the Global businesses hierarchy from central leadership to local relationship managers, both directly and through the approvals teams. - In summary, the prime objective is to ensure that an appropriate level of risk monitoring is achieved regarding Large Exposures, ensuring credit standards and concentration requirements are observed and issues escalated/resolved, at the same time being fully responsive to the additional requirements of stakeholders comprising internal and external customers and regulators. Knowledge &amp; Experience / Qualifications - Demonstrate commercial credit skills on either a transactional basis or through credit process management. - Experience within a global business using wholesale risk products - General knowledge of law, accounting and regulatory requirements - Knowledge of the HSBC Group, its operations and products - Strong communication (written and verbal) and organisational skills - An analytical mind and creative mindset - Sound credit skills both at a customer and a transactional level - Project management and people skills - An ability to work under pressure, to cope with ambuguity and manage changing priorities. - The role requires determination/discipline/diplomacy skills in interaction with Senior Management and other executives. - Must be able to work independently in an unstructured environment - Knowledge of SAS/Python/Tableau preferred
