HR Specialist - India Consulting Offices (INO) : 8 Months contract

This position is a maternity leave cover, fixed to an 8-months term contract.

Who You'll Work With :

You would work with the Senior Manager - HR and India Office leaders for their people requirements for all India Office Engagement Support Professionals (ESP) and Firm Service Professionals (FSP). You would also work closely with people leaders for each function, as well as counterparts in other offices and locations.

What You'll Do :

- In this role you will report to the Senior Manager - HR, and will have ownership of key HR processes and functions for India Office Engagement Support Professionals (ESP) and Firm Service Professionals (FSP).

- You would be expected to deliver complete support to our colleagues, while ensuring the office is compliant with all HR & legal requirements. The people processes include supporting recruitment and onboarding and running reviews, learning, connectivity, health metrics, and member engagement initiatives on the ground. You will also be the group's go-to person for day-to-day HR queries.

- As the HR Specialist your broad responsibilities will range across a variety of key dimensions - you will manage PD for colleagues in INO, understand and communicate with colleagues on people policies and procedures as necessary and serve as a point of contact for the ESP-FSP group on HR policies and guidelines. You shall model and apply Firm Values and ensure inclusion & diversity. You will be expected to timely flag potential people issues as needed, and work as a thought partner to help find quick resolutions.

- Recruitment and on-boarding : You will help orchestrate the entire recruitment and onboarding process for different groups at the India office by working closely with the team leader and FSP Recruiting.

- Learning : You will work with the FSP Learning team and team leadership to craft learning journeys for all teams and come-up with a detailed plan for each group ensuring that all members get timely and appropriate training.

- ESP-FSP evaluations : You will lead and manage the overall evaluation process for the ESP-FSP group end-to-end; you will own the process, ensure that all formats and templates are aligned to Firm guidelines, create evaluation committees, and prepare for and participate in PRDS processes and evaluation discussions.

- Health metrics : You will orchestrate people satisfaction initiatives across teams to ensure that we are able to retain, develop and excite exceptional people. In addition, you will be expected to monitor the results of people satisfaction surveys, discuss the results with team leadership and help design and execute appropriate interventions.

- Connectivity : You will own and manage planning and execution of town halls and other connectivity initiatives for the ESP-FSP group or on behalf of the group for office events

- Exit process : You will provide a sensitive and appropriate mix of care and counselling for the individual, along with disciplined monitoring, to ensure a smooth transition.

- Ad hoc projects : You will work and assume responsibility on a variety of ad hoc/special projects surfaced by the office leadership, the Professional Development and Staffing community, or other key stakeholders. You will be responsible for ensuring that the India office utilizes (and helps to enhance) the Firm's best practices on people topics.

Qualifications :


Ideal candidate will have :

- 10 years' relevant experience with a Bachelor's/Masters' degree or equivalent

- Preferred experience in independently driving people processes for a large team

- Strong interest in professional development and people issues. Ability to develop a professional relationship and connect as a trusted and respected peer with the team

- Natural counselor, coach and mentor. Excellent interpersonal skills and collaborative style, strong communication skills at all levels

- Integrity, maturity and fairness in dealing with upholding confidentiality of information

- A strong combination of detail-orientation, process-orientation and result-orientation, with the ability to multi-task

- Ability to adhere to the highest professional standards

- Ability to work individually and as part of a team

- Ability to think strategically, communicate effectively

- Non-hierarchical approach; flexibility and ability to build consensus and stand firm on decisions
